Tubi Review: ‘Hellblazers’ Is Entertaining As Hell

Tubi’s new original Horror Hellblazers takes us to a tiny remote town. Deep in the woods at dark a cult dances around a fire, led by a shaggy-haired Billy Zane. With a chant, the cult raises a demon and lets it loose to cause chaos and death. The town’s only hope of salvation is their new big city Sheriff, Joe (Ed Marrone), his two deputies (Crash Buist, Paige Sturges), and a trigger happy. ill-tempered old man (Bruce Dern). In the movie, the town must come together to try to survive the demon as well as the cult members who are hellbent on killing them all. There’s a ton of action as the residents of the town use anything they can find as weapons, guns, knives, bats, explosives, and even a chainsaw to fight to survive or they’ll end up on the demon’s menu. When I first reported on Hellblazers it was the cast that caught my attention, starring actors such

Every now and then folks will clue me in to fright flicks they are associated with, and ask yours cruelly to give them the ol’ revoltin’ review treatment! One such case is this demonic duo, suggested to me by producer Frank Garfi… and if his name sounds familiar I reviewed another film he helped create, 2020’s Twisted Fiction (the review for which you can read right here)… so let’s dive into our first putrid picture, 2006’s zombie apocalypse with a twist, Last Rites of the Dead! Ol’ Angela (Gina Ramsden) is having a right shit night, to wit: her explosively violent boyfriend goes completely fuckin’ apeshit and blows her away as she cowers in a bathtub. Well, that was a dumb-ass move par excellence as this bit of murder biz happens smack dab as the dead are returning to life… and here comes that aforementioned twist, the dead really want back into a society that may not be too into
