Game Review: ‘Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse’

Castlevania is a title that demands respect as one of the strongest franchises in gaming history and has been seen on many consoles over the years. Unfortunately for me, the only title I’ve played was Castlevania 64 for, you guessed it, the Nintendo 64. Now, years later, Konami was awesome enough to allow me to check out the latest entry in the series, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse! Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is set 23 years after the events of Castlevania III and the Netflix animated series. Tevor Belmont and his daughter Rose are in Paris after a demonic outbreak occurred and is painting the city red. The duo split up to fight monsters and find the source of the evil, which may actually be caused by an old nemesis. Now, onto the game itself! When it comes to the controls, they are very responsive and simple, almost like an old-school arcade. The game’s art is what shines the brightest for me! I’ve heard the

Game Review: ‘Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival’

When Saber Interactive first emailed me saying, “We have such sights to show you…”, I knew my wish had come true; someone finally made a game based on Hellraiser, and again, Saber fulfilled my desire and granted me a chance to review it! So is this a dream come true, or a nightmare? This is Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival. The story of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival takes place 20 years after the events of the first two Hellraiser films and follows sexual deviants Aidan and Sunny, who activated the Genesis Configuration (The Puzzle Box), and the Cenobites take Sunny. Aidan now must face the Cenobites along with a bloodthirsty cult to get Sunny back. Now, onto the game itself! When it comes to the game’s controls, they’re alright. Combat is tricky, and I really don’t like how the controls are set up for the quick turn; you have to press down on the stick as you pull back on it, which sometimes

Spoiler-Free Review: Never After Dark

Official synopsis Never After Dark follows Airi (Hoshi), a wandering medium who spends her life guiding restless spirits out of the world of the living. Summoned to an isolated country house, she comes face to face with a grotesque apparition with powers that defy Airi’s experience. As she digs deeper into the house’s past, a secret comes to light — and Airi finds herself hunted by a far more unpredictable force. For the first time, her greatest adversary is not the supernatural, but the living.  Review I’ve been waiting to see writer/director Dave Boyle’s Never After Dark since its film festival debut. Alas, my festival viewing dates and the film never matched up, but now that it is on its wide release, I finally had the opportunity to watch . . . and the wait was more than worth it. Never After Dark is the type of fear-fare feature that I don’t want to spoil in any way, because going

Psychic Medium Angel Morgan Gives a Moving, Shocking Reading: Watch It Now

Today marks an unforgettable milestone for both HorrorFuel.com and me. In a groundbreaking first for our site, I had the unique privilege of sitting down for a conversation with professional psychic medium Angel Morgan. Having never interviewed a psychic medium before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, the experience turned out to be a mind-bending thrill. Angel specializes in intuitive readings for both humans and animals. This made the session especially exciting given my own bustling household of two dogs, four cats, and a flourishing number of fish. An Uncanny and Jaw-Dropping Encounter Before diving into the video, a little context makes this session all the more astounding. A few months ago, my personal Facebook account was completely deleted (long story). This forced me to start a brand-new page from scratch. As a result, the intimate details Angel brought to light during our reading don’t exist anywhere online. And we had never spoken before our interview. While I have

Game Review: ‘Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy’

Well… They did it again. Asobo and Focus Entertainment told another tragically beautiful story set within the universe of A Plague Tale. After the end of Requiem, like many, I was haunted by it. So when it was announced that there was a third instalment, I was beyond excited, as I was beyond excited when Asobo and Focus sent over a copy to review! This is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. Resonance is a prequel set fifteen years before the events of the first two games in the series and follows Sophia, a smuggler who was introduced in Requiem, where she is retelling her haunting past. Plagued by visions since she was a child of a Greek Island, and nightmarish visions of a large bull, Sophia is now forced to travel to the mysterious island while being pursued by the Venetian Army. Sophia, through her visions, soon discovers that there is something terribly wrong with the island. Now, onto the

DLC Review: ‘REANIMAL: The Prisoner’

THQ Nordic surprised fans of the critically acclaimed REANIMAL with the release of the first DLC, titled The Prisoner, which expands the mystery of the main story. In REANIMAL: The Prisoner, players are introduced to two new characters: The Prisoner, a child with a sack over their head and a chain around their neck, and The Soldier, a child dressed like a German soldier from WWI, who appears to have helped the Prisoner escape their confinement. If you played and loved REANIMAL, you’ll love this mysterious tale that takes our little heroes through a nightmarish landscape of urban warfare, with added mechanics not in the base game, such as corpse traveling (yes, traveling through dead bodies), along with riding a motorcycle (which was my favorite part!) What I loved most about this story is that it hits you hard at the end with a massive cliffhanger after giving you a small bit more of what happened during the events of

Movie Review: Paranormal Hollywood Haunting (2026)

British Faux-documentary filmmaker Carl Medland rocked my socks with his trio of funny n’ freaky supernatural investigations into a farm with some bad fuckin’ mojo in the appropriately named Paranormal Farm series (reviews of which can be read here, here, and here). Well, our haunt-seeking host is back with another journey into the bizarre with his latest offering, Paranormal Hollywood Haunting… Arriving in America, Carl sets out to explore the Hollywood mansion of film veteran Arthur Porter and author/health advocate Daniel P’Lopez; an abode nestled right smack in the legendary Hollywood hills. As Carl and his cameraman Mumtaz “Taz” Yildirimlar, begin their investigation, the expected ghostly goings-on begin, but there is a deeper, more personal side to the yarn at hand that soon rises to the surface… That’s the beautiful thing about Paranormal Hollywood Haunting; while treating us to another outré investigation we get a glimpse of a truly human experience. As the film carries on it’s exaggerated fictional preternatural

Game Review: ‘Yellowcreek Stories-The Cabin Watcher’

As a writer, you spend a lot of time in isolation, or attempt it, to write with the silent prayers to whatever divine being that’s out there listening, that you’ll be left the f-ck alone. Well, in Carlos Azuaga’s and Jandusoft’s Yellowcreek Stories-The Cabin Watcher, that’s not gonna happen! Yellowcreek Stories: The Cabin Watcher follows a writer named Terry, who is staying at a remote cabin in the forest to work on his latest novel. Unfortunately, his calming night is interrupted by an escapee with a bloodlust that knows no end. Now, onto the game itself. The controls for Yellowcreek Stories: The Cabin Watcher are minimal, which I’ll go into more towards the end. The game’s art is interesting, but I fear it may be AI assets; I can’t confirm as the game’s ending credits were sparse, leading to this concern. The game’s soundtrack fits the story as it screams 80s synth. Normally I don’t like games that lack voice-overs,
