Movie Review: Ouija Shark (2020)

Jill (Steph Goodwin) was all set for a day of waves and rays with her pals, but those mother fuckers were more ghost than Casper… who she could easily communicate with, because she finds a Ouija board while at the beach. Eventually her friends let her know they are in fact at a pool, where Jill brings the board… and with a strict “fuck you” they start using that beastly board, and as is so often the case, they summon a ghostly great white shark that begins eating them as it flies around the woods… you know, you mother fuckers would be surprised at the amount I whisper “What the fuck?” to myself at this job… Anyway, as you can tell, this production is ridiculous, it knows it is, and it manages to be damn entertaining to boot… not always the case in these “here’s a preposterous shark-centric idea, we can fill in the details later” productions that seem to

Oh Hai Shark… Teaser Trailer for ‘Big Shark’ Excites Fans Of ‘The Room’

Tommy Wiseau is going to be making his horror debut both as director and actor in Big Shark. Wiseau teased the film last night on his twitter with a picture of a poster for the film as well as a link to the teaser trailer. The teaser trailer was actually shown in front of an audience attending a London screening of Wiseau’s well-known film, The Room, a film that’s famous for being so bad it’s good. Wiseau will be accompanied by Greg Sestero and Isaiah LaBorde. Sestero is no stranger working with Wiseau as he played Mark in The Room, where the iconic “Oh hai Mark” scene is from. Sestero later went on to write a book about making the film that was later adapted to screen under the same title The Disaster Artist where James Franco played Wiseau.

Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: Natasha Henstridge

Hello my Little Monsters. If you’ve come here today, that means you know what today is and what I have in store for you. Yep, you guessed it. it’s time to highlight yet another of those wonderful Women of Horror. Lately I’ve been thinking of actresses that have made a contribution to the genre, but may have only a few horror titles on their resumes. And the reason I would like to highlight these ladies is because were they to come back to the genre, it would be a very welcome return. One such actress is the lovely and talented Ms. Natasha Henstridge. Natasha is a product of Canada, as she was born in Springdale, Newfoundland and raised in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This statuesque, blonde beauty began her modeling career at the age of 14, after being chosen as the first runner-up in the Casablanca Modeling Agency’s “Look of the Year” contest. Following her modeling aspirations, Natasha was legally emancipated

Dive Into These 15 Aquatic Horror Films Set in Water

It’s that time of year again; the temperature is rising, and thoughts of waves, sandy beaches, exotic locations, or the local watering hole are filling your daydreams. While the water looks calm and inviting, it would serve you well to remember that just below the surface, nightmares are lurking. And we have a list of great films to remind you of that. Jaws (1975) When a giant great white begins to attack people in the waters of a small island community, the police chief, a marine biologist, and a grizzled fisherman set out to hunt it down. Jaws is a true classic that will never be outdone (that’s my opinion). Recently a deleted clip, deemed to graphic for the film, has surfaced. You can watch it HERE. The Shallows (2016) The Shallows stars Blake Lively as Nancy, a woman surfing alone on a secluded beach when she is attacked by a Great White and stranded just a short distance from

Jaws 3D: The Third Dimension Is Cynema

Third Time’s A Charm Hey, weren’t you in Jaws 3? Why do they make shit like that?” — Fan to Dennis Quaid, star of Jaws 3D I’m going to say that while Jaws 3 is a bad film, it is not totally Cynema. The third shark film was planned as a spoof called Jaws 3, People 0. A script written by National Lampoon’s Vacation Matty Simmons and 16 Candles, Breakfast Club teen king John Hughes exists online. It was to be directed by Jaws ripoff artist Joe Dante of the cult film Piranha (remade as the fun Piranha 3D. How things have come full circle). When the producers of Jaws and Jaws 2, Richard Zanuck and David Brown were approached by Universal to produce a spoof as a third installment, they declined. “It would have been like fouling your own nest,” Brown said. Universal went forward anyway. According to the Jaws 3D.com blog, director Joe Alves revealed how he came

Jaws the Worst

A Picture is Worth A Thousand Reviews The picture above is a series of stills from the ending of “Jaws The Revenge.” People rip on Ed Wood’s hubcaps and pie tin flying saucer’s in his “Plan 9 From Outer Space.” However, Wood had about 200 bucks for his effects budget. “Jaws The Revenge” had about six million and you get what’s in that picture? Cynema: The cynical contempt for an audience in the making of product that is devoid of creativity, passion, production value or respect while having the financial and creative means to do better. This Time It’s Ridiculous…Imagine you are sitting in an office at Universal Studios. You approve film projects pitched to you. Here’s the challenge. Without any knowledge of the previous Jaws films, someone pitches you the plot for a fourth installment to the famous shark series. Would you or wouldn’t you give 20 million dollars to make this movie? Here’s the pitch: “We get Lorraine

‘Meg’ Finally Heading To Production

The long awaited monster shark movie ‘Meg’ is finally moving forward. The script for the movie, based on Steve Alten’s book series ‘Meg: A Novel Of Deep Terror’, will be written by Dean Georgaris, who also wrote the script for ‘The Manchurian Candidate’. The novel series follows a deep sea diver named Jonas Taylor. Taylor believes that a prehistoric Megalodon is alive and lurking in the Mariana Trench. The giant shark has escaped the temperature barrier that has kept it prisoner for so long. Now the shark is loose on the waters of the California coast. Warner Bros. has reportedly added the project to their list for production in 2016. We will keep you updated as more information comes available. The real Megalodons is more terrifying than any sea creature you’ve seen in any horror or sci-fi movie. This incredible creature lived from 15.9 to 2.6 million years ago, though some believe it still exists. According to fossils found, the
