There are a lot of interesting things that happen on the sets and behind-the-scenes of horror films that many fans never know about. We aim to fix that. Here are some interesting facts about our favorite horror films. Bloody Bed During the filming of Carrie Sissy Spacek did not want to break character so she lived, ate, and slept in her blood-drenched prom dress for three days straight. An Homage To Psycho John Carpenter is a huge fan Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho. In fact, Halloween is filled with homages to the black and white movie. Carpenter even cast Jamie Lee Curtis as the lead who is the daughter of Psycho star Janet Leigh. Buzz Tony Todd stared as Candyman in Bernard Rose’s 1992 film. There were no special FX in the scene where Candyman has a mouth full of bees. That was all real. An X-Files Destination Before Final Destination became a film it was originally an idea for an episode

Now that Friday The 13th: The Game is actually playable, a new problem arises; it’s getting stale. With only one game mode, and counselors and Jason’s who all play pretty much the same, things get repetitive faster than you can swing a machete. But hey, now you can dress everyone up in cool new costumes! The best part by far is Lachappa’s man titties in the wrestler outfit. Yeah, we’re still waiting for a single player mode (or really, any new modes at all), but at least this is something. There’s plenty of DLC planned for the games future, and if the big ass pumpkin indicates Halloween, that means were only about halfway through. And sure, outfits aren’t the biggest addition, but better things are yet to come.

A combination music festival and haunted house “Escape: Psycho Circus” returns October 27, just in time for Halloween. Along side such notable artists as DJ Snake And AfroJack, there will be burlesque shows, tightrope acts, and enough creepy clowns to fill a hundred floppy shoes. Unfortunately you’ll have to live in California (or make a long ass drive) to visit the Circus, but for anyone in the area, this could be a scary treat.

So, by now hopefully everyone has heard of the ‘Friday The 13th’ game for PS4 and Xbox One. And…you have probably heard that, despite being a really cool idea for a game, it has more bugs than ‘Arachnophobia’. Fortunately, the developers are working hard to fix all of the issues while expanding the game. Just announced is a Part 4 map and a new version of Jason (with brand new kills…that’s really why you play the game anyway, isn’t it? There’s no shame in that.) Also, added to this map (and rumoured to be added to already existing maps) is a rain element that makes Chrystal Lake even more haunting. Hopefully they get this game figured out and keep adding new elements to it.

Hallo wieder meine Kleinen Monster (that’s “hello again my Little Monsters” to you and me, Rusty). It’s Wednesday again; August 30th of 2017 to be exact. And if you’re counting down like I am, you’ll also know that means HorrorHound Weekend in Indianapolis is a mere NINE DAYS AWAY (still seems like too many). That being said, I have chosen one of the guests that will be appearing as she who I have chose to highlight today. Of course you’ve likely seen the images above, so you already know this week’s wonderful Woman of Horror is Amy Steel. Amy is another type of Steel to come out of Pennsylvania, albeit not the rust belt variety. She grew up in West Chester, and around the time she began studying acting at the Westtown School is when her career began to take shape. With two summers of dramatic training under her belt, Amy joined Lionville, PA’s Barley Sheaf Players, starring in two

Here we are again, my Little Monsters. It’s Wednesday, and I am almost three days removed from the festivities at Days of the Dead, here in Indianapolis. In fact, it was at this years convention that I met this week’s wonderful Woman of Horror, Adrienne King. Born in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York, Adrienne got into the business quite early, having made an appearance in an Ivory Soap commercial at the age of six months old. Yes, you read that right – six months old. When she was nine years old, Adrienne portrayed the character of Melinda in the 1965 Hallmark Hall of Fame television film production of Inherit the Wind. After graduation from Oyster Bay High School, Adrienne was accepted to attend New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology where she majored in Fine Art. She would also take jazz dance classes, under the tutelage of Phil Black, that would hone her skills as a performer. After graduating from
