A Horrifying Discovery Surfaces in the New ‘Hell Hole’ Trailer

The trailer for the sci-fi horror movie Hell Hole has landed following its poster release last week. In the trailer, a drilling company makes a dark discovery, unwittingly unleashing a horrifying creature. This creature feature sees a fracking crew working deep in the Serbian wilderness at odds with government-assigned environmental advisors. When they begin to drill, the workers uncover the unimaginable: a dormant parasitic monster entombed deep in the frozen rock. Now awakened, it tears through the mining facility in search of the perfect host. The crew must fight to survive. Hell Hole is the latest brainchild of the Adams Family filmmaking team—John Adams, Lulu Adams, and Toby Poser. The cast includes Toby Poser, John Adams, Lulu Adams, Max Portman, Anders Hove, and Olivera Perunicic. The Adams family is a force to be reckoned with in independent filmmaking. Led by husband and wife team John Adams and Toby Poser, Wonder Wheel Productions churns out movies as a true family affair.

Spoiler-Free Reviews: ELECTROPHILIA and ASTRO NOTS (Fantasia 2024)

Electrophilia (Los Impactados) Argentinian feature Electrophilia touches on body horror and eroticism involving electricity but never goes full-on with these themes, instead feeling more like a character study of its protagonist, veterinarian Amanda (Mariana Di Girólamo). The young woman is struck by lightning and after she recovers from a six-week coma, she begins to feel changes that have happened to her mind and now-scarred body. She falls in with a group of lightning-strike survivors under the care of Juan (Germán Palacios), a doctor who uses unorthodox methods to treat those under his care, and begins an affair with him. Amanda develops sexual kinks related to electrical charges and shocks, worrying her significant other Jano (Guillermo Pfening). Director Lucía Puenzo, who cowrote the screenplay with Lorean Ventimigila, leaves viewers hanging with plot points that seem to have no resolution, such as Jano secretly going into Juan’s office and finding the doctor’s file on Amanda but then that scene not being addressed

Checking out the new Limited Edition ‘Overwatch’ Gaming Glasses by GUNNAR

It’s no secret that I like the gaming glasses by GUNNAR, the leading seller of glasses for the digital age where we spend more time looking at screens than at anything else, and as a result, some folks are affected negatively by the lights coming from those screens. GUNNAR is leading the way with eye protection from harmful lights coming from screens. GUNNAR now has teamed up with Blizzard to bring gamers and fans of the game series Overwatch two new limited edition gaming glasses! GUNNAR was awesome enough to send over the two new pairs that await fans. First is the Overwatch Ultimate, sporting the colors of the game (Black and Orange) with a comfortable wide range of view that will allow players to not miss a thing (or shot) while taking on the other team during a match. With a drawstring bag featuring Tracer and Echo, and a cleaning cloth with Reinhardt, Mei, Mercy, and Winston. The second

Movie Review: Phantoms (1998) – Scream Factory 4K/Blu-ray combo

Hey, it’s Joe Chappelle’s (Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers) adaptation of horror author Dean R. Koontz’s (who also wrote the screenplay) Phantoms… a movie I have seen exactly once upon it’s release (now considerably more thanks to this review) and couldn’t get into (mostly because I was too busy making out with my ghoul-friend at the time). Now, some of you cats n’ creeps may only know this flick as the subject of a punchline in one of Kevin Smith’s anecdotal tales (although him making fun of anyone’s picture is the glassiest of glass houses considering the cinematic shits he’s delivered as of late), but at it’s core, Phantoms is a solid- enough supernatural shocker. M.D. Jennifer Pailey (Joanna Going) decides to bring her troubled sister Lisa (Rose McGowan, Scream, Planet Terror) on a sabbatical to the remote Colorado town she calls home, but as is the way, most of the town is dead… not like in a “slow

Game Review: ‘Lifeless Moon’

The moon is mysterious, true we’ve sent men to it and are planning to go back soon. Mystery awaits humanity but, what if, there’s something there, something man-made? That’s what Lifeless Worlds and Serenity Forge offer players in Lifeless Moon. Lifeless Moon puts players in the boots of an Astronaut on one of the Apollo Moon Missions. While exploring the moon with your crewmate, you discover a rip in space and time that sends you to another world, or are you still on the moon? Now, onto the game itself! when it comes to Lifeless Moon‘s controls, there is not a whole lot as the game is mainly exploration and platforming. One issue that annoyed me to no end while playing was the inventory and notebook mechanic, as from time to time the notebook’s pages seem to glitch. When it comes to the game’s sound, it’s OK but what I liked was the soundtrack even though at times the music

Movie Review: The Guyver (1991) – Unearthed 4K/Blu-ray/CD combo

So dig this; in prehistoric times aliens visited the Earth and created mankind along with a race of monstrous mutants named Zoanoids. They also created a way of destroying the Zoanoids called a Guyver unit; a suit of bio-mechanic armor that encases it’s user from head to toe and gives them amazing ability as well as deadly weaponry. We learn this via on screen text before we cut to a scientist named Dr. Tetsu Segawa (Greg Joung Paik) haulin’ ass away from the Chronos Corporation, pilfered items in tow… items he hides before turning into a fish monster and battling Chronos’ security goons, who’s ranks include Jimmy “JJ” Walker (from beloved ’70s television sitcom Good Times… and yes, he says “Dy-no-mite” in the film at least once, and raps throughout) and The Hills Have Eyes‘ Michael Berryman. As if it isn’t strange enough, Berryman’s character Lisker… in truth a Zoanoid, as are all the Chronos cronies… turns into a monster

Movie Review: Blood and Snow (2023) – Cleopatra DVD

Check this one out cats n’ creeps… A meteor crashes in the artic that harbors an alien force… a force that can mimic human beings and is hell bent on bringing all sorts of space madness to a group of isolated scientists at a remote, snowbound facility. I know what you are thinking, this has to be an uncredited adaptation of 1938 John W. Campbell Jr. novella Who Goes There?… well it’s certainly that whether it admits it or not, but the more obvious inspiration to fright fans would be John Carpenters’ 1982 masterpiece, The Thing, an adaptation of the same (and itself a re-imagining of the 1951 Howard Hawkes version of Campbell’s tale The Thing From Another World). So yeah, we got a derivative tale here, which can be perfectly fine if something new and exciting is done with the material… but unfortunately Jesse Palangio’s Blood and Snow is absolutely power slammed by it’s budget making it impossible to

Movie Review: Sting (2024) – Well Go USA Blu-ray

A diminutive comet hurtles through the steel-gray New York City winter sky before crash landing in an apartment building (where it comes to rest in a dollhouse) where it promptly cracks open revealing it was an egg containing a small spider… a spider that is found by a young girl named Charlotte (Alyla Browne). Charlotte takes her new pet home… to the apartment she shares with her mother, Heather (Penelope Mitchell), infant sibling, Liam, and building superintendent/comic book artist step-father Ethan (Ryan Corr)… and names her new friend Sting. So, space-spider Sting is actually super smart as well, which would be fine and dandy if she didn’t apply that insidious intelligence to facilitate feeding on the dwelling’s residents (as well as any exterminator stupid enough to get in her way)… oh and she’s growing… and growing… So much so, that things look rather dire for those that call the building home! Coming from Writer/Director Kiah Roache-Turner (who brought us the

Along with the trailer comes more information about the story itself. Players will be stepping in the shoes of Alex, a young college student suffering from asthma (not good to have in a dusty end-of-the-world scenario!) who is trying to survive alongside her boyfriend Martin as the world comes to a silent halt from an otherworldly invasion by creatures who hunt by sound (seriously if you have not seen both A Quiet Place films, you’re doing yourself a disservice!). Alex must go through the ruins of civilization using her wits and ingenuity to observe the environments, and leveraging whatever tools are at her disposal to sneak, hide, and distract the creatures. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will be coming out later this year

Interview: Star Michael Nardelli Reveals Circle Sequel is Coming

In 2015, the acclaimed sci-fi horror film Circle captured the attention of viewers and critics alike for its powerful commentary on society. The film stars Michael Nardelli as Eric. He also served as a producer. In Circle, significant effects and backdrops are bypassed to concentrate on the story. The film sees fifty strangers taken and forced to choose the one person who deserves to live.” I sat with Michael to discuss Circle’s exploration of society and survival. But that’s not all. We have exciting news! A sequel, titled Circles, is on its way next year. Circle and Circles are not the only projects we had the opportunity to discuss. We also discussed Michael’s Emmy nominations for his series “Dark/Web,” which you can stream now on Prime Video. In the series, a programmer’s mysterious disappearance leads to the reunion of old friends. Together, they discover strange stories she left behind that may hold clues to an impending technological crisis. One thing
