Game Review: ‘Lifeless Moon’

The moon is mysterious, true we’ve sent men to it and are planning to go back soon. Mystery awaits humanity but, what if, there’s something there, something man-made? That’s what Lifeless Worlds and Serenity Forge offer players in Lifeless Moon. Lifeless Moon puts players in the boots of an Astronaut on one of the Apollo Moon Missions. While exploring the moon with your crewmate, you discover a rip in space and time that sends you to another world, or are you still on the moon? Now, onto the game itself! when it comes to Lifeless Moon‘s controls, there is not a whole lot as the game is mainly exploration and platforming. One issue that annoyed me to no end while playing was the inventory and notebook mechanic, as from time to time the notebook’s pages seem to glitch. When it comes to the game’s sound, it’s OK but what I liked was the soundtrack even though at times the music

Game Review: ‘Garten of Banban 1-4’

As much as I hate to admit it, Mascot Horror games are here to stay as many of these kinds of games are popping up on Mobile and spread like wildfire. One of these growing in popularity is Garten of Banban, a Masscot Horror by Euphoric Brothers who are known for their surreal indi games that tend to lean more towards the macabre. EB must be doing well as they caught the attention of Feardemic Games who are now bringing Garten of Banban to consols and were awesome enough to send over the first 4 episodes of Garten of Banban for me to check out. Garten of Banban is about a kindergarten facility that was shut down because all the children attending it (along with the staff) vanished. Now a lone parent is exploring the facility to find their child and uncovers disturbing secrets below… Now, onto the game itself! The controls for Garten of Banban are quite simple and

Game Review: ‘GRAVEN’

Earlier this year, Slipgate Ironworks, 3D Realms, and Fulqrum Publishing released their first-person dark fantasy GRAVEN on PC where it received mixed reviews from players. Now GRAVEN is out on console, were the mixed reviews warranted? GRAVEN puts players in the shoes of a wrongfully condemned priest who was punished for saving his adopted daughter from being sacrificed by killing another priest. seeming to have been granted another opportunity at life, the priest now ventures into the dark world to face the evils and plague that’s ravishing it. Now, onto the game itself! The controls for GRAVEN are pretty easy to learn even though the hud might look overcomplicated, a tutorial at the start would have been nice. The soundtrack is awesome in my opinion as it sounds like it belongs in the dark world the game is set in but I wish there could have been a little more use of voice acting. At first, I was not sure

Movie Review: Realm of Shadows (2024)

Who got their relationship hoo-ha all mixed-up with supernatural shenanigans? Well the new anthology from filmmaker Jimmy Drain, Realm of Shadows for one… and lucky for you cats n’ creeps that’s the feature I’ll be slappin’ my putrid peepers on and given the ol’ standard substandard revoltin’ review treatment! After we are introduced to the Sisters of the Moon; a gaggle of gals, lead by the devilish Nalum (Erika Monet), hell bent on relating their visions of the battle for men’s souls as they struggle to obtain the mystical… and apparently pretty damn powerful Dagger of Destiny… from some priest-types. These visions form the basis of the stories presented for our vicious viewing pleasure! We are soon introduced to Malick (Drain), a dude with the hots for multiple ladies, which of course leads to raucous results once he makes his preternatural pick, followed by a journey into a relationship influenced by those witches mmentioned up yonder… so again, expect decidedly

Game Review: ‘INDIKA’

Russian game developer Odd Meter had to leave their home country or face prosecution or worse, as their recent release INDIKA questions societal norms and points out the hypocrisy of the Russian Orthodox Church. I thank Odd Meter and 11 Bit Studios for this reviewing opportunity. INDIKA follows our titled character, a young Nun who is sent by her convent to deliver a letter, but her journey will be that of self-discovery as she begins to question her faith, along with dealing with the voice of the devil in her head. Now, onto the game itself! When it comes to the game’s controls, INDIKA is minimal as the gameplay is that of environmental puzzle-solving to allow Indika to proceed on her mission. A mechanic of the game that is confusing me at this time of writing, is the retro pixulated point system. Collecting items and interacting with the environment (like lighting candles) earns Indika points that will allow her to
