Randal (Irshaad Ally) has got his ass in some dire freakin’ straits; you see, he owes money to the local loan shark, Emmie (Danny Ross), who makes late payments a death sentence and to some thugs that have broken Randal’s back and left him confined to a wheelchair. As fate (and Hitchcock) would have it; Randal’s girlfriend Pam (Monique Rockman) gives our crippled hero a pair of binoculars with which he discovers a way out of his shitty sitch as he spies the fact that his neighbor, the gangster Lawyer (David Manuel), has a sack of cash just waiting to be stolen in his apartment…more than enough to settle the score with those he owes that multitude of greenbacks, plus live the easy life. Hitchcock Style Thriller ‘Number 37’ Coming To Theaters And On Demand

Director Nospiho Dumia‘s award-winning Hitchockian thriller Number 37 is set to arrive in theaters this November. In a gritty homage to perennial Alfred Hitchcock favorite Rear Window, the film “focuses on the residents of a block of apartments in the down-and-out Cape Flats neighborhood–which, with its petty thugs, crooked cops, violent loan sharks, and troubled pastors, soon reveals itself to be a very different place from Rear Window’s Greenwich Village of 1954.” Irshaad Ally, Monique Rockman, Ephraim Gordon, Sandi Schultz, Danny Ross, David Manuel, Elton Landrew, and Deon Lotz star in Number 37 scripted by Dumisa, Travis Taute, and Daryne Joshua. Set in a rough section of Cape Town, Number 37 follows Randal Hendricks, a small-time crook who becomes wheelchair-bound in a drug deal gone wrong, and his hard-working girlfriend Pam Ismael. To distract Randal during his homebound days of limited mobility, Pam gives him a pair of binoculars. While idly surveying his block, he accidentally witnesses a dirty cop

Nowheresville (it’s a real place, believe me…I’m a movie critic, and I know things). Anyway, things go smoothly enough on their first night in the new pad…minus a missing house cat, but you can bet demons to doughnuts that shit heads south with the major quickness…and it does as later that night someone watches their sex sesh from the wooded area surrounding the home. The next day strange notes appear, the disembodied laughter of a child and the squealing of pigs is heard, and a gloved hand touches Meagan as she sleeps…you know, typical new homeowner shit. Now on the third night, things go completely off-the-rails…so much so that the future of our heroes is seriously in doubt! 3rd Night is a slow burn thriller with
