An artist unleashes Candyman with a gallery show in the first trailer for director Nia DaCosta‘s Candyman “spiritual sequel.”
The movie returns to the neighborhood where the legend began, where Cabrini-Green housing projects once stood. We all know not to say the legend’s name five times, but the people in the movie co-written and produced by Jordan Peele say it anyway and bring down Candyman’s wrath upon themselves.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (US, Aquaman), Tony Todd (Candyman), Teyonah Parris, Colman Domingo, and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett star.
Candyman returns on June 12, 2020.
