Movie Review: Lycanimator (2018)

After one of your mad scientist types swallows a preternatural potion and transforms into a wicked werewolf, we get down to the nitty-gritty (and the titty) of what Lycanimator is all about… Two squabblin’ couples, May (Cayt Feinics of Clownado fame) and Jeff (Jonathan E. Smith) and Brian (Kii Hornick) and Nikki (Briana Wyman) are heading out to a secluded… and dilapidated as all fuckity-fuck house (it’s a fancy-ass real estate term, trust me) they’ve rented along with their gal pal Allie (Karina Nieves). Before they arrive they encounter the local doomsayer/deranged vet Niven (Joel D. Wynkoop in a suitably maniacal performance)… a real one-two punch of crazy right to your tender danglin’ orbs who tries to scare them away with tales of mad experiments and rampaging monsters, to no avail. Any-fucking-how; our heroes arrive at that dread domicile, and while trying to sniff out some booze, they find that crazy concoction mentioned up yonder… and Jeff gets it poured

Blu-ray Review: Werewolf in a Girl’s Dormitory (1961)

Along with new teacher Dr. Julian Olcott (Carl Schell)’s arrival at a school for delinquent girls comes a rash of werewolf related violence. Could our hero be the hairy-scary giving these troubled teens so much static? As the attacks continue we are introduced to a host of possible suspects, as well as a blackmail plot involving a lil’ of the ol’ teacher/student hanky as well as the panky. How do these elements relate to each other and will the werewolves reign of terror be stopped before the student body is used as a chew toy? The biggest problem with Werewolf in a Girl’s Dormitory is the title itself. Blu-ray Review: An American Werewolf in London (1981)

I’m not even going to fuck around; An American Werewolf in London is one of the finest horror pictures ever made. Doubtless, no one reading these wicked words would need any convincing to agree… but for the one person out there that may be unfamiliar with this fright flick, I’m gonna kick of this revoltin’ review of Arrow Video’s new Blu-ray release of this beast of a film with a sinister synopsis (I mean I always do that but what-fucking-ever). Movie Review: High Moon (2018)

In the 1800’s Colt (Chad Michael Collins) sets about putting a murder on a posse of gun-slinging werewolves that murdered his wife, after which, he is promptly killed by a ninja…this is doubtless based on a true story. Flash forward to the modern day where a small town is being plagued by a rash of exhumed coffins devoid of corpses, which naturally is caused by those pesky aforementioned lycanthropes who have woken up and immediately went on a kill spree that resulted in a whole lot of dead bikers and our werewolves on wheels. Of course since that putrid posse have come barkin’ back from the grave, our rootin’ tootin’ hero follows suit and before long teams up with a comely widow (Chelsea Edmundson), a small-town sheriff with marital woes (Matthew Thompkins) and a crooked Mayor (Sean Patrick Flanery), to try and end the evil reign of those blood-crazed creatures! ‘The Conjuring 3’ Set To Begin Filming

One of the biggest horror film franchises of the decade will soon begin filming its third film. I’m of course talking about The Conjuring franchise which became an entire universe. James Wan won’t be directing The Conjuring 3. Instead, we are left in the capable hands of Michael Chaves who is about to deliver his haunting tale The Curse of La Llorona to theaters this April. Hand-picked by Wan to direct, Chaves’s Conjuring 3 is said to be connected to the case of Bill Ramsey also known as The Southend Werewolf, which is based on a true story. Ramsey, a husband, and father of three from Essex, England, suddenly began to believe he was possessed by a demon that manifested as a wolf or a werewolf. Ramsey was said to have developed an inhuman strength, he growled, bared his teeth, and that he walked with hunched shoulders. Set to premiere this March, “The Order” is from creators/writers Dennis Heaton (Ghost Wars) and Shelly Erikson (Continuum). “American Gods” actor Jake Manley stars as Jack Morton, a college student out for revenge for his mother’s death. When Jack pledges a secret magical order he lands in the middle of a war between practitioners of dark magic and werewolves. Anthropologist Harry Beckmeyer (Barry Otto) witnesses some old-ass footage that purportedly shows a werewolf, and hears of a lycanthrope on the prowl in Siberia, so does what any rational human being would do; contacts the President of the United States and warns him of a worldwide werewolf epidemic. Spoiler: Prez blows that shit off. Wonder why? Meanwhile, comely marsupial werewolf Jerboa (Imogen Annesley) has fled from her abusive home and has been discovered living on the streets by Donny Martin (Leigh Biolos) who gets her a gig starring in the fright flick ‘Shape Shifters Part 8′. Jerboa reveals she is a real life werewolf, but Donny being the typical red-blooded male fucks her anyway…I mean, it’s only half bestiality, so it’s all good, right bro? Werewolf Flick ‘Bonehill Road’ Bares Its Fangs On Digital This Week

Legendary underground filmmaker Todd Sheets (Grindsploitation) is making his return to independent horror in a big way, with the werewolf film Bonehill Road, which promises to be a howlin’ good time (review). In the film, a mother and daughter escaping an abusive relationship run into something even more sinister on Bonehill Road. Bonehill Road will pay homage to classic werewolf films like The Howling and An American Werewolf in London. It will have an 80’s feel and don’t worry, this film will not be one of those PG-13 flicks. It is a horror film for real horror fans and brings back those blood-thirsty beasts we love. Linnea Quigley (Return of the Living Dead), Gary Kent, Millie Milan, Dilynn Fawn Harvey, Eli DeGeer, Douglas Epps, Ana Plumberg, and Aaron Brazier star in Bonehill Road. Blu-ray Review: Another Wolfcop (2017)

When an evil businessman, Sydney Swallows (Yannick Bisson), comes up with a poisonous plot to use his new brand of stout beer to impregnate the locals of Woodhaven with alien babies, part time werewolf and full-time alcoholic Lou Garou (Leo Fafard reprising his role from the original Wolfcop) answers the call to action…and by that I mean he begins violently ripping people apart and showing off his massive wolf wang. Complicating the police forces efforts to shut Swallows plan down is the fact the town’s mayor, Bubba Rich (Kevin Smith) is B.D. into what that terrible tycoon is bringing to the town in the form of industry and hockey…not to mention the killer robot ol’ double S dispatches to fuck shit up six ways to Sunday…and believe you me there is a whole slew of other sinister shit our hairy hero has to contend with after that!
