Vampire Like Attacks Are Plaguing A Small Town In New Zealand, No Really

Reports have been shared by multiple news sources about a series of strange attacks that have taken place in the sea-side town of Napier, New Zealand. According to reports (News.com, Metro, Yahoo News and others) several attacks have taken place on locals by strange visitors from out of town. What makes these events so strange? The victims have been brutally bitten around the neck and face. Oh, and all of the attacks have all taken place at night. Can you say “vampires”? According to Stuff.com a woman was arrested for attacking and biting a woman in a supermarket parking lot. The victim suffered severe injury to ear after the stranger pierced the ear with her teeth. The same night an altercation took place at Napier’s Thirsty Whale Bar. During a bar fight a crazed woman jumped in the brawl and sunk her teeth in a man’s neck. Her fangs tore open the man’s artery, causing him to have major blood

Seraphim Song by Pandie Suicide – Book Announcement

I interviewed Suicide Girl, model, actress, and now published author Pandie Suicide about her short film Massacre for Gores Truly a few weeks ago. When she found out that I did book reviews for Zombie Apocalypse Defense Force, she wanted to hop on board and send me a copy of her debut novel Seraphim Song to review! She also was kind enough to send along a short story called Vampire Summer which is also available on Amazon. Double win! The book absolutely sounds like something I would have written as a teenager (obsession with mythology – check, obsession with music icons – check), so the idea that this is something Pandie wrote as a teen seems realistic. I can’t wait to check out both of these pieces. Book Description: An angel with a musical gift from the gods falls for a mortal woman. Left in limbo on earth, Will A. Is half angel and all rockstar. Doomed to walk alone

A Series And A Movie For Fallon Grey, Blade’s Daughter

A couple of months ago we reported that Wesley Snipes has been talking with Marvel about reprising his role as the badass vampire slayer Blade. Now news has come that John Ridley has been hired to bring a new hero to life for a show on ABC. According to Bleeding Cool, a series based on Blade’s daughter Fallon Grey is Ridley’s new project. Word is Marvel also wants to develop a movie on Blade and Fallon Grey. There is no word to who they are looking to cast in the movie as Fallon, but let’s hope that Snipes will be back for his role. I think it would be a huge mistake to cast anyone else as Blade. I would love to see Blade and his daughter together in action. Marvel has also announced a new comic book series that will revolve around Fallon. So far there has been no date announced for either the series or the film.

Cynema: Fright Night or…Why Remake When You Can Retitle?

A Valentine To Old School Horror Remaking a film falls under the old adage: “Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should.” Netflix reviews or more accurately, article comments are dotted with such phrases like: “the film is old” or “it’s dated.” Better yet, “it’s foreign.” All three signify a concern in American pop culture: a fixation on the superficial and a refusal to give anything deemed “old” a chance, largely by a generation that prides itself on ignorance and is unappreciative for the previous work done by others that affords it the indifference it treats anything deemed unworthy of its attention. Horror is a breeding ground for remakes, but the focus of this article will be the 1985 horror hit “Fright Night.” The recent 3D remake of yet another 80’s horror film underscores not just the needless exercise in remaking films, but shows that audiences have become truly cynical in the product they pay for. There is

THEM Episode 1 of Season 1 by M.D. Massey

THEM Episode 1 of Season 1 by M.D. Massey is a self described “paranormal post-apocalyptic thrill ride”. As with Champagne Jackson Kicks Zombie Ass, THEM immediately had some large shoes to fill by virtue of its tagline and book description. Description: THEM: Season 1, Episode 1 Scratch Sullivan is a professional monster hunter eking out a living after the zombie apocalypse. Z hunter, some would say… but he hunts more than just zombies. You see, there are deadlier predators roaming the badlands, where the fallout and some very nasty inhabitants have made it impossible for all but the bravest and most foolhardy to venture.
