Kane Hodder is Jason Voorhees…I mean he isn’t actually the masked maniac, Jason is a fictional character (in case any of you are complete idiots) but, he was definitely the actor that made the role his own, and gave the Friday the 13th film series’ icon a real personality (not an easy task considering Hodder’s face is never seen on film without heavy prosthetic make-up, nor does he utter a single line of dialog in his four on screen stints as the character) comprised of distinct movements. And as you can imagine, any documentary about the man had better well and duly cover his most famous role…and this one satisfies in that department for sure, but there is so much more to learn in To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story. Back in May, we shared the first clip from Masterfully Macabre Entertainment’s documentary To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story. Now, we have the exclusive first images from the documentary to share with you, via Masterfully Macabre. Kane Hodder, who has starred in many films, over 120 in fact, but he is probably most recognized as the man behind the hockey mask of Jason Voorhees. This documentary will take us on a journey through his life, his career, and the incredible challenges he has over come to become a horror icon. Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Ted White (Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter), and Sean S. The first sneak peek clip has arrived from the documentary To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story. Kane Hodder, that is a name every true horror fan recognizes. He has starred in many films, over 120 in fact, but is probably most recognized as the man behind the hockey mask of Jason Voorhees. Hodder has appeared as both an actor and a stunt man and now his fans can learn more about his life, his career, and his determination in the documentary To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story, from Masterfully Macabre Entertainment. During the clip, “in a candid moment, Robert Englund reveals that horror films used to not garner much respect among the film industry, but is now “a go-to, popcorn ingredient in the soul of Hollywood.” Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) describes stories of Kane’s strong relationship with his fans, while Ted White (Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter) discusses his “jealousy” of Kane’s popularity at conventions.

A new documentary explores the life story of Kane Hodder, the man that played one of the most iconic roles in horror history, Jason Voorhees. To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story takes us on a journey through Hodder’s tough childhood filled with “torment and bullying” in Sparks, Navada, through his youth on a military island, to his nearly fetal burn accident and his rise as a legendary horror star. The documentary will include never-before seen footage of insider thoughts on Freddy vs. Jason, the story behind Hodder’s near-fetal burns, and the meeting of the doctor who saved his life.
