After years of rumors, we may be actually getting a sequel to the 1988 horror comedy Killer Klowns From Outer Space! During a discussion with ComicBook.com about his Netflix film Alien Xmas, Stephen Chiodo talked about his and his brother’s (Charles Chiodo) classic, saying that the brother duo is currently in talks with Netflix about making a Kill Klowns sequel. ‘Killer Klowns From Outer Space’ Special Event Happening This May

To celebrate the approaching 30th anniversary of Killer Klowns From Outer Space the film’s composer, John Massari, is bringing it to life with a live-to-picture concert, Bacchanalian circus celebration and fan tribute to Hollywood on May 19th. The film will be screened at the storied Montalbàn Theater with the musical score performed live by The Hollywood Chamber Orchestra. But that’s not all. In addition, on May 18th, Varèse Sarabande Records will release Killer Klowns from Outer Space: Reimagined, a new recording of the soundtrack on CD and LP featuring the film’s original synth score performed by members of The Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, including a guest performance by composer Bear McCreary (‘The Walking Dead’, ’10 Cloverfield Lane’, ‘Battlestar Galactica’), and new orchestrations from composer John Massari and more. Blu-ray Review: Killer Klowns From Outer Space (1988)

I can’t even to begin to fathom the fact that some of you fine fiends haven’t seen Killer Klowns From Outer Space, but just in case here’s a quick sinister synopsis: When a big top from beyond the stars lands on Earth and dispenses monstrous alien clowns, it’s up to a gaggle of college kids to try and save the day by facing off against the bizarre creatures and their even more bizarre weapons (cotton candy guns, man eating shadow puppets, killer popcorn et. al.) Can our heroes survive the night and send those ha-ha horrors packing? Surreal, hilarious, filled to the rafters with over-the-top practical effects goodness; Killer Klowns is considered a classic (klassic?) by many, and considered a masterpiece by your’s cruelly. Besides an overwhelming sense of fun and frights, the main takeaway from ol’ double K is that low budget horror pics can be imaginative and unique on a shoestring budget…a lesson today’s slasher and haunting obsessed

After nearly thirty years the 1988 classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space is getting its own television series. It’s no surprise, every semi-popular horror is getting remake, reboots, remakes and television adaptions these days.What makes the new series special? Killer Klown’s original director and co-writer Stephen Chiodo is back to direct the series. Chiodo appeared on the Movie Crypt Podcast and had this to say about the series: Right now, we are currently pursuing a long arch series for cable. ‘Killer Klowns From Outer Space’ Is Getting A Sequel !

After twenty five years, the 1988 psychedelic horror-comedy ‘Killer Klowns From Outer Space’ is getting a sequel. ‘Killer Klowns For Outer Space’ starred Grant Cramer, Suzanne Snyder, Michael S. Siefel and John Allen Nelson. Director Stephen Chiodo did a fantastic job of balancing the goofiness and horror in ‘Killer Klowns’. In the movie a group of aliens, dressed as clowns, land in a small town to feed. The clowns roamed the town, in-casing their victims in cotton candy like cocoons and take them back to their ship, which looked like a circus big top, to be consumed. ‘Killer Klowns’ is one of the most unique movies of the horror genre. Luckily, Stephen Chiodo will be returning to direct ‘The Return of the Killer Klowns from Outer Space’. Grant Cramer will also be returning for his role as Mike.
