Goretastic Horror-Comedy ‘Snatchers’ Now Out On Blu-Ray

Snatchers which we called “a goretastic horror-comedy that you need to see,” in our five-star review, has just been unleashed on Blu-ray™ and DVD. Aliens meets Mean Girls in this delightfully deranged film about a status-obsessed high school teenager who loses her virginity and finds herself pregnant the next day…with an alien! Senior year is going to rule! Thanks to her relationship with clueless hunk Skyler, Sara is totally in with the cool girls. But Skyler contracted an extraterrestrial bug during his summer vacation. After just one night together, Sara discovers she’s Nine. Months. Pregnant. Desperate to keep her condition on the DL, she turns to the only person she can trust: her nerdy ex-bestie, Hayley. The girls soon realize this alien problem is only just the beginning. Aliens had best beware in this hilarious comedy filled with action and tongue-in-cheek teen spirit. Snatchers stars Mary Nepi (Not Cool) as Sara, Gabrielle Elyse (Nickelodeon’s “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn,” “The

Blu-ray Review: Snatchers (2019)

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own. Sara (Mary Nepi) thinks she’s hot shit; it’s senior year in high school and she’s finally become one of the in-crowd (thanks to completely giving up everything that made her unique), had a lil’ of the ol’ in n’ out with her bohunk boyfriend, Skyler (Austin Fryberger), and got her self a little alien bun in the oven, as those wacky-ass teens oft do amirite? Anyway, ol’ Sara gives birth with the quickness, and some sort of symbiotic beastly bug rockets from her socket… a bug that immediately goes on an unreasonably violent killing spree. Soon it’s up to Sara and her former best friend and nerd’s nerd Hayley (Gabrielle Elyse) to figure out how to stop her offspring from destroying the entire town! First of all, Nepi and Elyse make for a truly

Blu-ray Review: ‘Snatchers’ Is A Goretastic Horror Comedy You Need To See

“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided with a free copy of the Blu-ray™ I reviewed in this post. The opinions I share are my own.” What’s worse than being a teen and finding out you’re pregnant? Being a teen finding out that you are pregnant with an alien hellbent on wiping out the human race. That’s what happens in Snatchers, from the writing/directing duo of Stephen Cedars and Benji Kleiman. Picture it, senior year and you’ve finally gotten in with the cool kids. Sara (Mary Nepi) thinks everything is going great, but things suddenly take a horrific turn the morning after she loses her virginity to teen hunk Skyler (Austin Fryberger). When she wakes she is shocked to find that she’s not only pregnant but looks like she’s due to give birth any minute. The only person she thinks of to turn to is her ex-BFF, the same one she dumped for the cool kids. Luckily, Hayley (Gabrielle Elyse) still cares.
