Product Review: GWAR’s Buds Of Gods

GWAR. What’s the first thing you picture when you hear that name? The correct answer is a band of interplanetary barbarians and our masters, but a metal band that stood steadfast against time without blinking and inspired many metal bands is acceptable as well. Hearing GWAR and CBD together in one sentence probably does not come to mind right? Surprisingly it’s a thing and a true Scumdog would want to check out! I present to you GWAR’s Bud of Gods. I want to give a big shout-out and thank you to GWAR and Consequence for making this review possible. I was sent GWAR Bud of Gods aluminum dugout. The design is sleek and fits comfortably in my pocket. The rotating top has a nice strong magnet that keeps it shut and everything inside as well as holding the cleaning tool. The only thing I don’t like about the pipe is the spiked end makes cleaning a bit hard. Along with

Album Review: Skeletal Crew: Frankenstyle E.P. (2018)

To be perfectly honest with you creeps; a lot of what I review here I request personally, and when things are sent to me sight, or in this case “sound”, unseen (unheard…whatever) I get a bit on the nervous side…as I always think things have the overwhelming possibility of being a standard substandard piece of mummified dog shit. I have to admit I had that feeling about this E.P. release from Skeletal Crew…not that I’d heard bad things…hell I hadn’t heard anything…which of course made me even more trepidatious…but enough of that horseshit, because I pressed play on ol’ Frankenstyle, and I was well and truly blown the fuck away!! Spread out over six outrageously hard rockin’ tracks that deftly blend fantastic metal stylings with subject matter you’d normally find in the best of horror punk; this is one hell of a slab of arcane audio. The vocals are a guttural growl, but are never hard to understand or sing

Alice Cooper’s New Album ‘Paranormal’ Is A Shock’n, Rock’n Blast From The Past

Shock rocker Alice Cooper released his first album in 6 years last week. Released on July 28, Paranormal is an album that long-time Alice Cooper fans will adore, as it oozes with the kind of old school Alice songs that got imbedded into the rock culture of the 70s and 80s. It’s for good reason, too, as the album features two songs written and recorded with the original members of The Alice Cooper Band. The album also features tracks with guest appearances by U2 drummer Larry Mullen, Roger Glover of Deep Purple and ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons. As if the cameos weren’t enough of a treat, the album also comes with 6 classic Alice Cooper hits, recorded live at a show last year in Columbus, Ohio. In a recent interview with blabbermouth.net, Cooper had this to say regarding the title of the new album: “My definition of paranormal is something that is ‘other than normal’ or ‘alongside of normal’.
