True Crime Documentary ‘The Acid King’ Explores A Sacrificial Murder

Ahead of its November release, we’ve got the new trailer for The Acid King, a true-crime documentary based on Ricky Kasso, the young man who murdered his friend in an alleged “Satanic sacrifice” in 1984. Directed by Dan Jones and Jesse P. Pollack whose book the film is based on, the documentary examines Kasso’s life and hardships that may have made him a killer as well as the murder Kasso committed and the trial. Ricky Kasso wasn’t a bad kid, but he was lost. To feel better, he started smoking pot, moving on from that to PCP and LSD. He ended up living on the streets and thinking he had nothing to lose. Gary Lauwers went from being a victim of bullying to using drugs to fit in, and finally robbery—but then he made the mistake of stealing from Ricky, and from that moment on, his fate was sealed.” Pollack states in his book. “A few months later, Gary went

Epix’s Trailer For Docuseries “Fall River” Explores A Case Of Murder And Satanic Panic

Epix has just released the trailer for the upcoming four-part true crime docuseries “Fall River” which explores a story of sex, satanic cults, and murder. “In 1979 – almost 90 years after infamous, accused murderer Lizzie Borden’s notorious acquittal – Fall River, Massachusetts would become home to another terrifying series of crimes. When three young women were killed in a streak of brutal murders, police alleged a satanic cult was practicing human sacrifice. The cult leader, a man named Carl Drew, was captured and sent to prison for life without parole. Twenty years after the trial, the lead investigator Paul Carey became so haunted by inconsistencies in the stories that he re-investigated his own case after he retired. Evidence surfaced that brought the entire story into question. Now through exclusive interviews, including intimate conversations with Drew, new witnesses, and illuminating evidence, this documentary series will tell the true story of a town caught in the grips of the paranoia and

Movie Review: Porno (2019)

It’s 1992 and it’s Jesus o’ clock at a small town movie house owned by religious fanatic Mr. Pike (Bill Phillips). But it’s all in a days work for Chastity (Jillian Mueller), projectionist Heavy Metal Jeff (Robbie Tann), and ushers Abe (Evan Daves), Todd (Larry Saperstein), and Ricky (Glenn Stott)… and after hours they are rewarded with watching a free flick, but the current hits of the day are quickly forgotten once a freak-ass hobo breaks into the joint leading them to discover a stash of porn. Before you can say missionary position, the gang watches one of the skin-flicks and unleashes the succubus Lilith (Katelyn Pearce). Sex and violence ensue. Produced on a lower budget with an inexperienced cast, Porno manages to be funny, shocking, and surprisingly touching. Admittedly, things get off to a dicey start though as our pious teens are grating from the get-go, but they calm their tits soon enough… especially after Lilith makes the scene

Top 10 Films 10.The Head Hunter (review) In a cold, medieval forest, a warrior (Christopher Rygh) stalks the land eternally hunting for one more monster head to add to his collection… but this decapitation would offer our hero sweet revenge! While at it’s heart an absolute exercise in minimalism, this film is everything I crave from genre cinema; unique, inventive, and packed with sweet, sweet creatures! Grim, grizzly, nihilistic, and often breathtaking; The Head Hunter is easily one of the best horror pics that has come down the putrid pike in a damn sight! -Dan XIII 9. The Lighthouse (review) Robert Eggers (The Witch) is back with his new venture into the dramatic, psychological horror with The Lighthouse starring Willem Dafoe. Set on an isolated island in New

Movie Review: Satanic Panic (2019) – Dan XIII’s take!

Something evil is afoot in the town our heroine Sam (Hayley Griffith… who our own ever-awesome Kelli interviewed right here) delivers pizza in. Sure, there’s the expected weirdo shit-birds one would expect a person to encounter deliverin’ picture perfect pies at all hours, but there’s also somethin’ a bit different; namely a high class group of Satanists led by the comely witch bitch Danica (Rebecca Romijn) that is just aching to include our gal in all manner of sacrificial deviltry after a late night delivery. Soon Sam is up to her pepperoni and extra cheese in diabolical demons and monstrous magic, and it’ll take every ounce of her wits to keep her life and soul intact during this hellish night of horrors… and hilarity… You see cats n’ creeps, ol’ Satanic Panic, for all that the sinister synopsis up yonder would lead you to believe otherwise, is a rather hilarious comedy, with some well done horror overtones… especially some well

‘Satanic Panic’ Star Hayley Griffith Takes Us Inside The Hilarious Horror-Comedy

I sat down with delightful actress Hayley Griffith, star of the hilarious new horror comedy Satanic Panic. Hayley filled me in on how some scenes were shot and how hard it was to make the movie while trying to keep a straight face. You see, Satanic Panic is a hilarious, gore-filled flick that is a ton of fun. Hayley, who has also had roles in “The Mysteries of Laura” and “Law & Order SVU,” stars as Sam Craft, a young woman working her first night as a pizza delivery person. After a series of cheapskates, she is sent to a rich neighborhood. When she gets stiffed again, she goes to talk with the customer only to find herself in the middle of a satanic ritual, and she happens to be the virgin they need for the sacrifice. Horror Fuel: “Let me say, I really enjoyed Satanic Panic. It’s a fun flick. It got a five-star review from us.” Hayley Griffith:
