Poster And Trailer Unleashed For Slasher ‘Maniac Farmer’

From writer-director Matthew Williams comes Maniac Farmer, a throwback to the slasher flick yesteryear, like Madman, The Mutilator and Slaughterhouse. We now have the official one-sheet designed by Rocky Gray (Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories, 10/31), as well as the bloody new trailer. “It’s a surreal thing seeing something you wrote become a reality on screen, and I couldn’t be more proud, especially of my fantastic cast who made it all possible. Movie Review: 10/31 is an Arcane Anthology Well Worth Your Time!

Anthologies are all the rage in the fright flick biz these days…or they were at one point…it doesn’t really matter because I’m taking a look at one today, and then I’m gonna tell you if it’s hit or shit with my normal award losing candor…so yeah…10/31!! 10/31 begins with some trick or treaters parkin’ their ass in front of the boob tube (and in this case that term is apt because they are watching bosomy horror hostess Malvolia’s horror marathon) where they view the various and sundry terror tales…like the one that leads off this affair; The Old Hag! Hag concerns the trials and tribulations of two dudes aiming to film a promo video for an old mansion that’s been turned into a dead…err bed and breakfast. Well, lo and behold, one of our heroes keeps seeing visions of a gnarly ol’ bat…the same demonic dame that the locals say was a murder machine way back when. Things of course

Though perhaps known on a wider scale more for his many contributions to metal music (Gray has been a member of Gothic metal acts Evanescence and We Are the Fallen, influential metalcore band Living Sacrifice, and many, many others), among horror fans, Rocky Gray is known for his retro-synth score in the indie-horror hit, The Barn. Well, it turns out that film was no fluke, as Gray sits down with Horror Fuel to discuss his many current horror projects, from music composition and his influences, to sitting in the director’s chair. Horror Fuel: The Barn is one of my favorite things to come into existence in quite some time. It captures that 1980s slasher/creature feature/endearing cheese vibe perfectly. How was it working on that slice of retro horror heaven? Rocky Gray: You said it; it really was horror heaven. For my first time scoring a full horror feature, it was really fun to work on. HF: What were your influences
