A Possible Sequel In Store For ‘Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon’

It has been 10 years since we met a new horror icon in ‘Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon’. The film developed quite a following. Back in 2012 director Scott Glosserman attempted to crowd fund a sequel with a script by David Stieve, who also penned the first film, but the film just didn’t come together. It seemed that we had seen the last of Leslie Vernon. After several years of silence the official Facebook page for the film, sprang back to life with a mysterious post: “It’s about time to dust this old thing off…2017 seems like a good year.” Soon Nathan Baesal, the actor who played Leslie Vernon, shared the post with a message of his own: “Maybe something good will come out of 2017 yet.” While there is no official news about a sequel, it does at least sound like something is in the works. In the first film we witnessed a film crew be

Death House, one of the most highly anticipated horror films of 2016, has just released new artwork by artist Sean Wilson. Director Harrison Smith had this to say about the new poster: We hope the artwork reflects the complexity of the film, hints of steam punk and also a solid sign of the horror Death House contains behind its walls. Smith pointed out an interesting detail about the artwork to me. If you look closely at the left eye (our right) you will see an aerial photo of the Death House facility. Smith, known for his films Camp Dread, The Fields, 6 Degrees of Hell, and Zombie Killers: Elephant’s Graveyard, not only directed but also penned the script, based on the original screenplay by Gunnar Hansen who played Leatherface in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. 1…2… Freddy’s Coming For You…..AGAIN – A New Nightmare On Elm Street Remake

1…2…Freddy’s coming for you – in a brand new remake. That’s right, the man of our dreams is coming back in a new version of Nightmare on Elm Street from New Line Cinema. David Leslie Jones, the man behind Orphan and Wrath of the Titans, will be writing the script for New Line. Jones has also signed on to pen the next film in The Conjuring franchise. So far, Jones is the only person attached to the project. According to Bloody Disgusting, odds are we won’t see Robert Englund in the role. Even though the film already has a lot of potential with Jones on board, it just won’t feel right without Englund as Freddy. Let’s hope New Line decides to offer him the role. We all remember the last remake being a fiasco. Let’s hope that they don’t make the same mistakes with this one. We will keep you posted.
