‘Nightmare On Elm Street’ Reboot Still Alive

Back in 2015 we reported that a new Nightmare on Elm Street reboot was in the works. Last August we confirmed that David Leslie Johnson (Orphan, The Conjuring 2) will be penning the script. After that, very little was mentioned about the reboot, until now. When news came that Johnson will writing The Conjuring 3, fans and new sites took to IMDb to learn that Johnson is still attached to the film and that the plot had been “leaked”, or so they were supposed to believe. The reality is that anyone can edit IMDb. The plot is 100% fake, thankfully. It’s a terrible plot. One thing we do know is that sadly, it’s not likely that we will see Robert Englund reprise his role as Freddy. It just won’t be the same without Englund. The faux plot: “When Brandon Higgins begins to appear in other people’s dreams at will, he has no idea that he is the illegitimate son of

Horror documentaries are more popular than ever, and we couldn’t be happier. Titled FredHeads: A Documentary About Fandom, the upcoming documentary from Venn Pictures will explore how A Nightmare on Elm Street has changed the lives of it’s fans. “The documentary will follow 3 fans as they tell their story and what their journey in the Nightmare community has been; some as fans, others rising through popularity. Robert Englund Says NIGHTWORLD Has “The Scariest Script”

During Robert Englund’s Q&A panel at this past weekend’s Monsterpalooza convention, Englund spoke about his role in Patricio Valladares’ supernatural thriller Nightworld, which he called one of scariest scripts he’s read in a long time. And when Robert Englund says something is scary, I believe him. After all, he is Freddy Krueger. VMI Worldwide has snagged the rights to Nightworld, co-starring Jason London. Barry Keating, Loris Curci and Milan Konjevic penned the story. Gianni Capaldi, Lorina Kamburova, Diana Lyubenova, Atanas Srebrev, Nikolay Valentinov Lukanov, and John Strong co-star. In Nightworld, when former LAPD Officer Brett Irlam takes a job as head of security at an old apartment building in Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia, he soon begins to experience a series of bizarre and terrifying events. Petition Circulating To Convince Studio To Cast Robert Englund As Dr. Loomis In New Halloween

Earlier this month John Carpenter revealed the director, writers, and release date for the upcoming ‘Halloween’ film. Since the announcement there has been a debate amongst genre fans about how should be cast in the role of Dr. Loomis. Fans already have a man in mind, Freddy Krueger actor Robert Englund. In fact, there is now a petition being shared in hopes of convincing the studio, director David Gordon Green, and co-writer Danny McBride to cast Englund as Michael Myers’ foe. This petition was created to allow fans of the Halloween series a direct say in a very salient part of the next film. In short, we think none other than the original Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund, would be the perfect person to play Dr. Samuel Loomis. He has the look, the age, and the of course, the acting skills, to play Michael Myers most dedicated foe. And if Loomis isn’t in plans for the future film, consider him

Robert Englund Is Returning As Freddy Krueger In New Documentary

Robert Englund is sliding on his glove and sitting down in the makeup chair one last time as Freddy Krueger in the documentary ‘Nightmares in the Makeup Chair’. Back in 2014, Englund brought Freddy out of retirement and appeared in full wardrobe and makeup to treat fans to a once-in-a-lifetime experience at Chicago’s Flashback Weekend. Directed by Mike Kerz, the upcoming documentary goes behind the scenes at Flashback Weekend. We will see Englund in the makeup chair, sharing stories while FX master Robert Kurtzman transforms Englund into our favorite dream-stalking killer. It will “take fans on an exciting, fun, and emotional journey through Englund’s years as Freddy Krueger with stories and anecdotes, all while paying tribute to the legacy of Wes Craven.” I was inspired by the vintage photos of the legendary artist Jack Pierce applying the Frankenstein makeup to Boris Karloff. Sadly, those sessions were never documented on film.” Kerz explains. ” That is why we created our documentary
