One Woman Is Out To Serve Justice In The Revenge Thriller ‘Guilt’

I think we’ll all agree that pedophiles should be given harsher punishments, with the sorry excuse for humans frequently getting off light. But in directors Karl Jenner and Lyndsay Sarah‘s revenge thriller Guilt, one woman is out to serve justice. In the film, written by Sarah and Janet Shay, and starring Janet Shay, Hayley Flowers, and Sandra Stock, “angered by all the child abuse in the world, a child psychologist goes vigilante, targeting child sex offenders who escaped severe sentences.” Karl Jenner and Lyndsay Sarah produce alongside Cobalt Media, Digital Realm, and Rogue Entertainment. Guilt seeks revenge in now in select theaters and On Demand from GVN Releasing.

This October ‘The Curse Of Audrey Earnshaw’ Will Cast Its Spell On You

Writer-director Thomas Robert Lee takes viewers on a dark journey filled with religious paranoia, horror, and revenge set against the autumnal palette of the harvest season in 1973 in The Curse of Audrey Earnshaw. The film explores the disturbing bond between Audrey, an enigmatic young woman, and Agatha, her domineering ‘mother’, who live secretly as occultists on the outskirts of a remote Protestant village. As the community is besieged by a pestilence of unknown origin: children, fields, and livestock begin to die — yet the Earnshaw farm remains strangely unaffected. As mass hysteria sets in the village, the townsfolk commence accusations against Audrey and Agatha of witchcraft. Catherine Walker, Jared Abrahamson, Hannah Emily Anderson, Geraldine O’Rawe, Don McKellar, and Sean McGinley star in The Curse of Audrey Earnshaw, featuring Jessica Reynolds in the titular role of Audrey Earnshaw. I wanted to tell a story about legacy, and to specifically explore it within the context of a folk horror narrative,”says writer-director

Movie Review: Ravage (2020)

Balls deep in the Watchatoomy Valley, nature photog Harper (Annabelle Dexter-Jones) feasts her putrid peepers on a sight she was never supposed to see; namely the beating of a man by the psycho Ravener (Robert Longstreet) and his crazy crew. After documenting the violence on hand, our heroine bolts… and after a murder attempt she reports the ghoulish goings-on to the local authorities. This does nothing to deter her fate of becoming a barnyard captive of those murderous yokel locals more than ready to stride revenge’s road… but Harper has a few ideas as to vengeance of her own! The greatest strength of Ravage is the prowess of it’s heroine. Writer/director Teddy Grennan fashions his muse as a true creature of nature; scrappy, capable, and able to survive in the wilderness… This of course leads to the same Shakespeare by way of the “Me” generation’s “Battle of the Sexes” that seemed to define ’70s grindhouse cinema ; and was evident

“Certified Fresh” Nordic Thriller ‘A White, White Day’ Coming To DVD

From acclaimed director, Hlynur Pálmason comes the Nordic festival favorite, revenge thriller A White, White Day. Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 97%, the film centers on “off-duty police chief (a chilling Ingvar Sigurdsson, who received Cannes Critics’ Week award for Best Actor for his performance) in a remote Icelandic town, begins to suspect a local man of having had an affair with his late wife, who died in a tragic accident two years earlier. Gradually his obsession for finding out the truth takes over his life and inevitably begins to endanger himself and his loved ones. Combining classic thriller tropes with a distinctly Nordic arthouse sensibility, A White, White Day, the second feature from Hlynur Pálmason “engages in storytelling that’s both powerful and fresh throughout, marking him as a talent to watch” (The Hollywood Reporter).” Ingvar Sigurdsson, Ida Mekkin Hlynsodóttir, Hilmir Snær Gudnason, and Sara Dögg Asgeirsdóttir star. Movie Review: The Wake (2017)

A group of attractive people manage to mow down a kid while doing the ol’ DWI bag and then find themselves stalked and slayed by a maniac wearing a burlap sack over his head. It’s like Jason Voorhees knows what you did last summer with The Wake. To elaborate, after our “heroes” murder said child, they are invited to his wake by his mother, and for some outrageous reason they actually go, only to be drugged and bound within a house lit only by blue lighting (seriously…every. damn. scene. Blue, blue, blue…). The group then slowly (and I mean slowly…more on that in a bit) meander around the house and occasionally have a go-around with the dude in the sack mentioned previous. Let’s start with a few nice things to say about The Wake. Let’s see…there were a few unexpected elements that added a bit of freshness to this somewhat pedestrian affair; namely, the dude driving the car actually admits

Blu-ray Review: White Fire (1984)

White Fire, or as I like to call it “What in the Fuck?!!“, is the tale of smart-ass brother and sister duo Bo (The Exterminator himself Robert Ginty) and Ingrid (Belinda Mayne)… and what a life they’ve had; to wit: They’ve seen their parents killed before their eyes thanks to some para-military thugs, become employees in a diamond mine who’s offices and administrative staff like they just tumbled out of the TV show V, and started a side-hustle as diamond thieves (beleaguered by Turkish criminals as is so often the case nowhere ever). Anyway, that last plot point only becomes more ludicrous when our heroes are privy to the discovery of the legendary white fire diamond, a preposterously sized gem that is so shit-hot it burns the flesh of any dumb ass who touches it… and after tragedy and a bar fight featuring roughly 4,567 mustaches, Bo sets out to pinch that rock pronto! Speaking of mustaches, Fred “The Hammer”
