Blu-ray Review: Primal (2019)

It’s not just another boy meets dino love story in Primal, the latest from animation genius Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack). Spear (Aaron LaPlante) is a caveman striding the primordial byways of ol’ planet Earth ‘round back the dawn of evolution, when he encounters Fang… a carnivorous dinosaur on his way out (via extinction ‘natch). The two just so happen to share a common enemy… a pack of prehistoric predators pulled a murder on both of their respective families… and soon become fast friends. The deadly duo then hoof it from one violence smothered scenario to the next, laying a serious ass whippin’ on all manner of monsters, dinosaurs, and evil cults. Excessive bloodletting ensues! Now, what would you say if I told you that all of the above spills n’ chills transpire without a single word uttered? Crazy right? But that shit just works… unholy hell does it ever work, with Spear emoting all over the place as he runs

Nicolas Cage Will Fight Evil Animatronics In ‘Wally’s Wonderland’

Nicolas Cage‘s next project is a twisted horror flick, director Kevin Lewis‘ Wally’s Wonderland, where Cage will play a janitor “forced to spend the night in a twisted amusement park where he is pulled into a living nightmare.” “As the threatening animatronic characters come to life, the janitor has to fight his way from one monster to another to survive until morning and get out of the park.” For me there was always one actor and one actor only who could make this movie work, and that actor is Nicolas Cage,” said Lewis, “I’m thrilled to be working with him and can’t wait to see him go up against Wally and his gang of psychopathic misfits.” “I see this movie as Pale Rider vs Killer Klowns from Outer Space.” G.O. Parsons penned the script, which was featured on the Blood List. The film is currently in pre-production with filming likely to begin early next year on Wally’s Wonderland. While Cage
