Blu-ray Review: Automation (2019)

Happy Holidays from Alert Insulation, you’re all fired! Now just why is Alert giving everyone their staff the heave-ho? Well, that is all thanks to mega-efficient robot Auto (Jeff J. Knight in the suit with voice by Jim Tasker) who can handle an entire shift practically by himself… and there’s a better version of Auto itself ready to roll out. Maybe they shouldn’t use former military hardware to save a buck… With it’s pointed satire taking aim at corporate America and robot lead, you can bet demons to fuckin’ donuts that Automation brings to mind Verhoeven’s all-time classic flick Robocop, but that’s just surface level cats n’ creeps. The flick also has some stuff to say on office politics, what it means to be human and sentient, and just how much

Movie Review: Victor Crowley is the Best of the Hatchet Series!

Victor Crowley, the deformed and bullied child that grew up to be a monstrous, murder lovin’ madman (and ghost to boot), is back stalking and slaying in his bayou home ten years after the events of Adam Green’s cult slasher favorite Hatchet (2006). Now ol’ V.C. isn’t the only familiar face back on the scene as paramedic, and lone survivor of previous bloodbaths, Andrew has returned to tell his side of events (and promote his new book about the gruesome goings-on) on his ex-wife’s talk show. Before long, Andrew is offered an ass load of money to return to the swamp and record an interview for a national television show…so our hero, a camera crew, and that aforementioned ex-wife traipse right into the lion’s den (after a plane crash that is) because unbeknownst to them, a trio of aspiring film makers (hoping to shoot a fake trailer to raise the scratch to make a film about Crowley) have inadvertently resurrected

New Clip From ‘Victor Crowley’ Unleashed Ahead Of Its Arrival On VOD

Victor Crowley is back and we have new clip! One of horror’s favorite villains, Victor Crowley, has come home for a new chapter. The killer has longed stalked the Hatchet franchise from Adam Green and now he’s grown more brutal and more bloodthirsty. Both Kane Hodder and Parry Shen will reprise their roles with Laura Ortiz, Felissa Rose, Dave Sheridan and Brian Quinn co-starring. “In 2007, forty-nine people were brutally torn to pieces in Louisiana’s Honey Island Swamp. Over the past decade, lone survivor Andrew Yong’s claims that local legend Victor Crowley was responsible for the horrific massacre have been met with great controversy, but when a twist of fate puts him back at the scene of the tragedy, Crowley is mistakenly resurrected and Yong must face the bloodthirsty ghost from his past.” Victor Crowley will slash his way onto Digital and VOD on February 6, 2018, from Dark Sky.
