Trailer Conjured Up For ‘Blair Witch’ Parody ‘The Claire Wizard Thesis’

Back in 1999, The Blair Witch Project debuted and went on to gross nearly 250 million dollars worldwide after being made on a meager $60,000 budget. Now, almost 20 years later, writer, actor, director, producer and self-proclaimed “hitmaker” Jacob Lewis has teamed up with Terror Films to deliver the “laziest excuse for a found footage film you will ever bear witness to”, The Claire Wizard Thesis. The brainchild of Australian actor and writer Ishak Issa, the horror comedy, his feature debut, centers on “a group of actors and crew into the Australian outback, led by aspiring filmmaker and ego-maniac Jacob Lewis.” “Lewis’ plan is to make his own version of the 1999 hit, with dreams of becoming the next big Hollywood director. There is only one problem – he has no idea what he’s doing and neither does any of the cast or crew.” Alex Dona stars as the pompous Jacob along with James Mitry as Jacob’s pissed off brother.

Movie Review: Vidar the Vampire (2017)

Pity poor Vidar…be-sodden with an eternally “ill” Mother and at the mercy of a Draconian Christian community, our hero has led an overbearingly monotonous existence keeping up the family farm while trying to conform to societal norms. Seeking escape, Vidar begs Jesus for salvation, looks at a Playboy, dreams of a naked demoness (a dream in which he sees himself as a vampire…that’s foreshadowing for ya), wakes up and smokes a cig, and heads to his barn where a vampire Jesus appears and forces our hero to give him a beej…which turns him into a creature of the night…a bloodsucker who also regularly attends therapy to figure out what condition his condition is in. Dammit Vidar, you are one mother fucker of a film!! Moving on, Vidar begins a debauched journey into all of life’s (and afterlife’s) pleasures with that demon Jesus (there’s the ultimate dichotomy for you) egging him on all the way! Can our hero find his humanity

Movie Review: Monochrome (2018)

Emma Rose (Jo Woodcock) is a young woman who finds herself in dire straights after becoming entwined in one of your huge financial cock-ups (of the nation wide variety) thanks to her boyfriend socking away millions in knicked pension funds. To escape that hot mess she blows like the wind to the bucolic English countryside where she accidentally discovers (as one does) that she has a real passion for killing wealthy landowners (who employ her for “casual work”). Enter Gabriel Lenard (Cosmo Jarvis), an investigator with synesthesia (you know, like he can see sounds and the like) hired by the British Crime Agency to track ol’ Emma down. Will Gabriel, who’s condition allows him to see things at crime scenes others can not, be able to find Emma and recover the loot? Monochrome is nothing else if but original. The inclusion of the synesthesia (though under used…see below) is a nice element not found in your normal serial killer yarns,
