Candyman’s Virginia Madsen Stars In The Supernatural Horror ‘The Devil’s Light’

On Halloween last year, Lionsgate announce the supernatural horror The Devil’s Light. Today, we can report that film has scored a February 22, 2022 release date, reports out of CinemaCon state. Star of the Candyman franchise, Virginia Madsen appears alongside Jackie Ryers (“The Strain”) and Colin Salmon (Resident Evil) in the film in which “reports of demonic possessions reaching unprecedented numbers globally, and the Vatican opens schools for exorcisms in six countries including the United States.” Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism) is in the director’s chair and is directing from the script penned by Halloween H2O‘s Robert Zappia. “The Devil’s Light tells the story of Sister Ann, a restless 25-year-old, who devoutly believes that performing exorcisms is her calling. But she is at odds with the institution’s traditions: sisters are not allowed to perform exorcisms, only priests. Lionsgate announced last year that they are co-producing the supernatural thriller The Devil’s Light. James Hawes (“Penny Dreadful”) was in the director’s chair but that has now changed. The Last Exorcism’s Daniel Stamm is now listed as director, Bloody-Disgusting reports. Written by Robert Zappia (Halloween H2O), “The Devil’s Light tells the story of Sister Ann, a restless 25-year-old, who devoutly believes that performing exorcisms is her calling. ‘Last Exorcism’ Director Teaming Up With ‘The Strangers’ Writer For ‘Them’

Following this month’s episode of Hulu and Blumhouse’s holiday-themed horror series “Into the Dark”, titled “Down”, director Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism) teased his upcoming horror film, a home invasion thriller, during a conversation with Daily Dead. His next project titled Them was written by Bryan Bertino (The Strangers). Them, set in Texas, centers on a group of oil workers attacked by something out in the desert and sounds like a new spin on the home invasion genre. I’m hopefully directing next a movie called They, written by Bryan Bertino and produced by Dark Castle. We’re casting now,” Stamm told the site. “Bryan Bertino is the guy who wrote and directed The Strangers, and he has a talent for writing set pieces that are really fresh, interesting, and unpredictable. It’s so hard to do something original and fresh in the home invasion space, because there are only so many ways to scare someone.” Stamm continued, “It’s home invasion… all set

Movie Review: Into The Dark: Down (2019)

I’m a big fan of Hulu’s Into the Dark series, a run of 12 unrelated fright flicks released on per major holiday for a full year of which today’s feature Down will be the 5th entry…the films so far have been full of suspense and fun, and have been a devious delight to behold. Let’s see if that trend continues… Down concerns two strangers, Jennifer and Guy played by Natalie Martinez and Matt Lauria respectively, who become trapped in an elevator while trying to exit an office building on Valentine’s Day. They spend their time getting to learn about each other and try to make the best of their time trapped in that beastly box…but unfortunately, that is about all of a sinister synopsis as I can give without spoiling things, outside of saying things go dark along the way…and what with this being a horror series and all that should come as no surprise… Directed by Daniel Stamm and
