Small Town Monsters Is On The Hunt In ‘On the Trail of Bigfoot: The Journey’ (Trailer)

Following a wildly successful 2020 with the releases of Mark of the Bell Witch and The Mothman Legacy, Small Town Monsters has announced the release of their latest documentary, On the Trail of Bigfoot: The Journey. The Journey is the follow-up to the miniseries “On the Trail of Bigfoot”, and cryptid documentarian Seth Breedlove leads the Small Town Monsters team deep into the Adirondacks on the hunt for Sasquatch. Breedlove and his handpicked crew of adventurers and investigators headed to the Adirondacks of upstate New York for an intensive, adventure-filled week searching for Sasquatch. The team documented the trip, which included multiple days and nights in the forests around upstate New York and Western Massachusetts. Their trip was spent with Bigfoot researchers like Steve Kulls (“Monsterquest”) and Paul Bartholomew (Finding Bigfoot, Beast of Whitehall) who led them on the search for their quarry. The Journey is directed and edited by Seth Breedlove, who produced alongside Adrienne Breedlove, and features animations

Witnesses Recount Encounters In ‘The Mothman Legacy’ Trailer

Small Town Monsters is back with The Mothman Legacy, their latest addition to their cryptid documentary series from Seth Breedlove. The new trailer gives audiences a glimpse into some of the dark, haunting landscapes captured around West Virginia, along with sound clips from witnesses interviewed for the new film. The final chapter in Breedlove’s Mothman trilogy, The Mothman Legacy tells the story of dozens of sightings of a folk legend of dubious origin, who allegedly continues to be seen throughout the area today. With a dozen eyewitness interviews, the film promises to offer some of the most intense and terrifying encounters ever recorded. “Many believe the Mothman to be a 1960’s phenomenon, an omen only appearing before tragedy, and disappearing after a flap of sightings and the subsequent Silver Bridge collapse in 1967. But what if there’s more? What if the origins of this omen trace back much further and go much deeper than anyone realized? And what if…the sightings

Legend Meets Real Life: The Kappa Of Kyuushuu And Kappa-dera

WARNING: Some subject matter may be disturbing to some readers. The Kappa is an adorable turtle-like creature with a Moe Howard haircut, big teddybear eyes, and rosy cheeks that make it just so darn cute that you want to pick it up and hug the daylights out of the little critter! This is all in part thanks to animes like Youkai Watch, How to raise a Kappa, and Summer days with Coo as well as little trinkets you can get from a vending machine. In reality, the Kappa is a creature of Japanese folklore that needs to be feared, why? Well for starters they can literally suck the life out of you…by way of your butt. The Kappa whose name in Japanese means “Water Child” is probably one of the most recognizable Yōkai (Japanese mythological creatures), a nymph/goblin-like creature who can be found in rivers and that’s said to be no bigger than a child but have tremendous strength. Kappas

Movie Review: Sasq-watch is Worth Layin’ Your Eerie Eyeballs On!

Sasq-watch concerns the half-ass adventures of two brothers; Nigel and Oscar (played by Paul Brittain and Adam Herschman respectively), who have made it their mission in life to collect a huge bounty offered by the family of a deceased Bigfoot hunter before the reward is discontinued. After missing their scheduled guided tour, they hook up with a new guide named Sampson (Neil Flynn as your typical backwoods dude with little patience for idiots…which is unfortunate because he is swimming in them), and Jamie (Christine Bently), the sister of their dead LARPing frenemy who’s forced to go on the trip by her father for reasons. Oh, and don’t forget Claus (Tim Meadows), a rival Bigfoot hunter with a past with the brothers. Sasq-watch has a real charm about it (a phrase I may have never written in any review before…), and while it isn’t always completely over-the-top side splittingly high-larious (though admittedly it often is), it really aims to please, and
