Glenn Payne’s Micro Budget Horror-Comedy ‘Killer Concept’ Out This May

From director Glenn Payne (Driven, Earthrise) and writer Casey Dillard (Driven, As I Lay Dying) comes Killer Concept, a horror-comedy starring Payne, Dillard, and Coley Bryant (Driven, Stargrassle Paranormal). The film “explores what happens when three creatives team up to write a screenplay about a string of murders in their town, not knowing that one of the three may be closer to the story than the others realize. Mark (Glenn Payne), a voyeuristic photographer with a secret, is at first reluctant when aspiring cut-throat producer Seth (Coley Bryant) and true crime writer Holly (Casey Dillard) want him to help them make a movie about a local serial killer: after all, they might figure out that he is the murderer, but he figures it could be interesting. However, when rivalries, crushes, and outside influences begin to cloud his twisted mind it’s harder to tell if he’s in his own story or theirs.” With a primary cast and crew of five people,

Movie Review: Race To See ‘Driven’ Starring “Supernatural’s” Richard Speight Jr.

“Supernatural” actor-director Richard Speight Jr. and Casey Dillard star in the supernatural film Driven, which follows a man on a mission to take down the dark entities released by his family’s curse. When a cab driver (Dillard) picks him she has no clue that her passenger, Roger (Speight Jr.), is about to introduce her to a world she had no idea exists. Driven, directed by Glenn Payne and written by Dillard, sits on the border between a horror film and horror-comedy. While filled with horror elements the interaction between the two characters gets downright funny at times. Speight Jr. and Dillard work so well together. There’s a contrast between the two characters with Dillard’s being a bit quirky and Speight Jr.’s being intense makes the two a match made in heaven. Much of the film is set in a car, which was risky, there’s always a huge chance that it could make viewers feel a bit claustrophobic, but director Payne

Playing Saturday, June 15th at 11:45 pm at TCL Chinese Theatre is: Driven (2019) Ride share fright flicks are en vogue these days; and as a relatively new phenomena they are ripe for exploration and fresh ideas, and Driven exemplifies this fully! Emerson (Casey Dillard who also wrote and co-produced the film) is havin’ the usual ass-pain of a night schlepping around various annoying fares, but things take a turn for the batshit when she picks up Roger (Richard Speight Jr.). You see Rog-baby is lookin’ to dump off a curse handed down through the generations, and now he and E-dawg are in for a night of supernatural shenanigans as they attempt to confront a preternatural evil. Sounds like a Tuesday to your’s cruelly… The lions share of what
