Animated Horror Comedy ‘Resurrection Corporation’ Comes To Amazon

Italian filmmaker, Alberto Genovese, who brought you Troma’s Sick Sock Monsters from Outer space, is back with new tale of horror, the indie animated film Resurrection Corporation. Inspired by Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari, Resurrection Corporation follows the paradoxical adventures of a famous undertaker who’s been on the streets since death itself was banned in the city and supplanted by a practical method of resurrection, to which no citizen can resist. The uselessness of the now obsolete coffins drives the funeral director to an economic and existential crisis. Man, now too old, is not able to adapt to the changing times nor is he able to confront a society so distinctly tanatophobic. His own stubbornness will drive the protagonist to expose an irrational system that, in the repudiation of the word ‘end’, reveals all his deception. This dark and morbid (in the best possible way) film about humanity’s fear of death is now out on Amazon Prime Video, from 1844

‘Halloween’s’ Danny McBride Behind New ‘Garbage Pail Kids’ Series

If you were around in the 80s and early 90s, odds are you will remember the Garbage Pail Kids, the gross characters that were a twist on the Cabbage Patch Kids. The characters first appeared as trading cards with gum and a sticker that were so cringe-worthy that they were banned in schools. In 1987 they got their own live-adaption movie which holds an impressive 0% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, followed by a tv series. Now, they are back and they are getting a new animated series! Danny McBride’s (Halloween, Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends) Rough House Pictures and Michael Eisner‘s Tornante Company, which owns the baseball card giant Topps, the original creators of Garbage Pail Kids, are producing the series that Bride will write along with “Solar Opposites” Josh Bycel. Some of the original characters include Jay Decay, a zombie; Drippy Dan, a doll covered in holes with fluid leaking out; Messy Tessie, who has a massive amount

DVD Review: Scooby-Doo: Return to Zombie Island (2019)

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share on my Own. When Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island hit in 1998 it was like breathe of fresh air in the fearsome franchise; the monsters were real, the tone was darker than before, and the story featuring a disbanded Mystery Inc. (comprised of Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Shaggy Rogers, Velma Dinkley, and that lovable mutt Scooby-Doo) coming back together for one last hurrah and falling afoul of the undead and werecats on Moonscar Island was cool AF. So how will the sequel; Scooby-Doo: Return to Zombie Island measure up? Let’s begin with the ol’ sinister synopsis, shall we? As before, our teenage sleuths and their dog have cooled their jets and have managed to stay out of terror trouble for a damn sight (like at least a few months or more). Of course that is short lived as
