Well, there’s a site where you can find a shirt that expresses your thoughts OR show your love towards a show, movie, or other pop culture references for a decent price. Let me introduce you to 6 Dollar Shirts. 6 Dollar Shirts sells t-shirts for $6 (hence the name), but they also have other shirts that cost a little more, but you can also have the design you like to put on other things besides t-shirts such as hoodies, tank tops, etc. With all the designs based on many topics, of course, I found some horror ones to try out! That Time There Was A Vampire Pandemic In The U.S.

2020 and the infant months of 2021 have been full of somewhat interesting theories when it comes to the Covid-19 pandemic ranging from scholarly discoveries to claims made by keyboard conspiracy theorists. Though a lot of what we see and hear from the strangest corners of the internet fails in comparison to the rumblings coming out of New England in the 19th century. As you may have guessed (from the title) New Englanders believed that there was a Vampire problem plaguing the region. Over time there have been cases popping up all over the New England region of the U.S. where many families have been nearly wiped out by mysterious illnesses leading many within the communities to look towards the supernatural for answers as to how or why bad luck would befall an entire household. The common answer, one of the family members was a Vampire. People came to this conclusion because of how the house members died. In most

Blu-ray Review: Dracula (1979)

Looking for a faithful adaptation of Bram Stoker’s masterpiece, Dracula? Well, it’s a hardy “tough shit” to you, because today we are turning our putrid peepers on John Badham’s 1979 version of that beloved terror tale! Beginning with Drac-attac’s arrival in jolly ol’ eerie England aboard the doomed ship The Demeter, this version skips that whole “journey to a foreboding castle” bag the yarn usually kicks off with. Anyhow, frail Mina van Helsing (Jan Francis… and see what I mean about “faithful”?) finds Drac’s (Frank Langella) limp form while calling on her friend Lucy Seward (Kate Nelligan… and again…), who’s pappy Dr. Jack Seward (Donald Pleasence) runs Ye Olde Local Loony Bin located within his stately clifftop mansion. Now Drac manages to fool everyone with his smooth as silk ways… but before long Mina is dead at the fangs of the that creepy count who strikes while Lucy is gallivanting about with her beau Jonathon (Trevor Eve). This results in

Blu-ray Review: Bram Stoker’s Shadowbuilder (1998)

A flock of Satanic priests summon a demon made of shadows and charge it with taking the soul of a young boy, Chris (Kevin Zegers) destined to be a saint. Without his soul that lil’ tyke will fling open the doors to hell with wild abandon and unleash all manner of destruction upon our big blue marble. Fret not though because pill-poppin’ Father Vassey (Mary Poppins…err, Michael Rooker), a cross between The Punisher and a preacher, is on the case and after puttin’ a murder on those cray-cray cultists does his damnedest to stop that preternatural blackness from taking his prize…but at least he has time on his side as our murderous monster begins working his way through the citizens of the town in which Chris lives leaving light adverse walking dead and folks(and the occasional dog or two) gone rabid, in his wake as he searches for his prey. Will Vassey, along with the town’s sheriff (Shawn Thompson) and

Zombies, Vampires Or Humans: Burying A False Meme

Oh the internet, you give us hours of entertainment and insight into the world around us. Sadly you’re also the home of the misinformed and the gullible. There’s been a meme circulating the web for years showing a gravesite with an iron cage covering it, quite peculiar indeed till you read the text that accompanies it. There’s a lot wrong with this meme. First off, the Victorians (1837-1901) were not as naive and terrified of the world around them as the generations before them. Many Victorians never heard of Vampires till in 1897 Irish author Bram Stoker published ‘Dracula’. After its publication, more Vampire stories showed up in works of fiction and still to this day. Zombies, the odds of a common Victorian knowing about Haitian or West African lore was slim. To a common Victorian, a Zombie was just someone who was brought back to life after being dead for some time; perfect example of this would have been

Another ‘Nosferatu’ Remake Is One More Nail In The Coffin Of Genre Creativity

Nosferatu- this is a word you’re all familiar with, isn’t that right my Little Monsters? The word has about as many explanations regarding its meaning and origin as there have been films made about the creature the word represents. Frankly, fans of vampire movies aren’t likely to care much about the word’s true origin, as much as they will care about sub-par movie representations of their favorite blood sucking creatures of the night. One can safely say that Vampire movies have always been something of a cash cow for studios. Especially since, for better or worse, filmmakers are always finding new ways to keep said subject matter alive, or perhaps undead would be a better way of putting it. Of course this doesn’t stop the studios from trying to squeeze every last cinematic drop of blood they can from the king of the vampires himself, Count Dracula. The most recent attempt at telling the Dracula story was the origin piece

‘Sherlock’ Brain-trust To Create A New ‘Dracula’ Series

Hello again my Little Monsters, as you may have read in the title, it appears that a new Dracula series is in the works from the folks at the BBC (that’s The British Broadcasting Corporation to you and me, Rusty). After their monumentally successful modernization of the tales of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary sleuth in the television series Sherlock, the writers and producers of the popular series are focusing their gaze on a new incarnation of Bram Stoker’s equally legendary “Prince of Darkness”. Sherlock series writers Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat will be on board again to handle writing duties, while Sue Vertue’s company Hartswood Films will handle all producorial aspects. This will be a reunion of sorts for Gattis and Moffat, who haven’t collaborated on a project since Series 4 of Sherlock. Despite their present work on solo projects, Gatiss and Moffat have begun talks with the BBC on this new series. Granted, there will likely be no
