The Dead Rise In The ‘Amityville Uprising’ Trailer

At his point movies with “Amityville” in the title are a dime a dozen and are nine times out of ten are simply terrible. Hopefully, Lionsgate’s new horror Amityville Uprising will be one of the few good ones. Following The Amityville Harvest and The Amityville Moon, Uprising sees a chemical explosion at a military base set off a supernatural disaster, unleashing an acid rain the melts the flesh from bone from anyone it touches. If that wasn’t bad enough, the dead soon begin to rise. Written and directed by Thomas Churchill, Amityville Uprising stars Mike Furguson, Micah Fitzgerald, Kelly Lynn Reiter, Troy Fromin, Aleksandra Zorich Hunt, and Thomas J. Churchill as “Chuck”. Amityville Uprising is out on DVD, Digital, and On Demand on January 11, 2022, from Lionsgate. Check out the new trailer.

Amityville Horror Killer Ronald DeFeo Jr. Dead At 69

Ronald Defeo Jr., the man who murdered his parents and four siblings, in the house at 112 Ocean Avenue, and inspiring the novel and movie The Amityville Horror is dead at the age of 69. Defeo died in the Sullivan Correctional Facility while serving six life sentences. On Wednesday, November 13, 1974, 23-year-old DeFeo entered a local bar and in a panic revealed that his entire family had been slain. It did not take long for him to be arrested and charged. When police entered the house they found a shocking scene, each family member lay dead in their beds, each from a gunshot wound received while they slept. The children, aging from 9 to 18, were the most heartbreaking sight. During his trial, DeFeo claimed insanity and that voices made him do it. While he admitted to being on LSD and other drugs at the time of the murders, the court deemed him sane and fit to stand trial.

Review: “Shock Docs: Amityville Horror House” Is Not For The Faint Of Heart

The tragic and terrifying events that occurred at the two-story house located at 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York have long been the subject of true crime fans and paranormal studies. There have been many investigations of the rumored haunting as well as many documentaries, so what makes “Shock Docs: Amityville Horror House” special? A lot. Discovery+’s “Shock Docs” series sets out to delve into the history of the most haunted house in America in their new special. It takes viewers back in time to November 13, 1974, at 3:15 am, when 23-year-old Ronald J. DeFeo Jr. brutally slaughtered his family in the middle of the night with a .35 Marlin rifle. He took aim and put a bullet into each of them as they slept. He then got dressed and went to work as nothing had happened then went to a bar pleading for help screaming that an intruder had wiped out his entire family. But it didn’t

Movie Review: The Amityville Murders (2018)

Man, Ronnie Jr. “Butch” DeFeo (John Robinson) has got it tough. His abusive ape of a father (Paul Ben-Victor) treats him like a punching bag (due in no small part to his draft dodging, pot smoking ways)…when he isn’t up to Mob biz that is, his dabbling into the supernatural has left him susceptible to arcane evil from the depths of hell, his girlfriend is on his ass every second (she kinda has a point as Butch chucks her ass out of a car into a huge mud puddle after a mid-blowie, hallucinogenic incest based freak-out…you know, a Tuesday for you boils n’ ghouls no doubt), oh…and there’s a rock solid chance this cat is a full-on lunatic. Before long the paranormal and psychosis begin to take their toll and Butch will be pushed beyond his limits! There’s a lot to dig about The Amityville Murders in my not so humble opinion. For starters, Robinson and Ben-Victor absolutely nail their

‘Amityville: The Awakening’ Delayed Yet Again

For what feels like the 50th time, Dimension Films’ has delayed Amityville: The Awakening AGAIN. While the film’s most recent release date was announced as June 30, 2017, this time no new date was given.
