‘Evil Dead Rise’ Will Premiere Exclusively On HBO Max

The Evil Dead franchise is back! Variety is reporting that Evil Dead Rise is in the works at New Line Cinema with Sam Raimi, the franchise’s creator, and its groovy star, Bruce Campbell, will be executive producing the new franchise installment written and directed by Irish filmmaker Lee Cronin. Sadly, Campbell’s iconic character Ash Williams will not be returning. This time Alyssa Sutherland (“Vikings”) and Lily Sullivan (Mental) will lead the cast of the sequel. Movie Review: Blood Vessel (2019)

Peep this; it’s the Second World War, and things are gettin’ violent as fuck! Don’t believe me? Well, those dreaded Axis powers have hucked a torpedo at a military hospital ship… resulting in a motley crew of military personal being adrift on the open sea in a lil’ life raft. Anyway after an action-packed boarding of that beastly boat we get down to brass tacks; namely that the ship is mostly full of corpses… mostly… I mean there’s a pretty unreasonable amount of vampires on board as well… I mean, one would be more than enough to qualify as “unreasonable”, but there’s at least a few more than that. So it’s Das Boot by way of the ‘Demeter’ sequence from Dracula as our harried heroes attempt

Nathan Phillips, Alyssa Sutherland, Christopher Kirby, and John Lloyd Fillingham star in the film set somewhere in the North Atlantic, in 1945. A life raft adrift at sea, and in it, the survivors of a torpedoed hospital ship: With no food, water, or shelter, all seems lost – until an abandoned German minesweeper drifts towards them, giving them a chance at survival. As they explore the ship, it becomes all too clear that some diabolical fate has befallen its German crew. The mystery only deepens when they encounter a young Romanian girl, who leads them to a locked storage room in the bowels of the vessel. Inside, a frantic German sailor and a haul of Nazi treasure, including the ancient sarcophagi of two long-dead vampires…”
