Samuel Goodwin’s Directorial Debut, Cut Your Teeth, Casts Riley Dandy

The indie horror scene is about to get a little sharper. FX master Samuel Goodwin is officially stepping behind the camera to make his feature directorial debut with the upcoming psychological slashfest, Cut Your Teeth. According to a new report from Deadline, the production has locked down its leading lady in Riley Dandy. She is a scream queen who already proved she can handle a homicidal, axe-wielding robotic Santa Claus in the synth-drenched holiday horror hit Christmas Bloody Christmas. Horror Royalty If you need any more convincing that this project is one to keep on your radar, look no further than the producer’s chair. The film is being produced by indie genre royalty Aaron Moorhead, one-half of the brilliant directorial duo behind mind-bending films such as Spring, The Endless, Synchronic, and Something in the Dirt. Not to mention Marvel’s Moon Knight and Loki. Having Moorhead’s name attached means we can likely expect something much more cerebral and deeply unsettling. Joining

Rosemary’s Baby, But Make It 2026: ‘Son of Sara: Volume One’ Gets a Release Date

The cinematic landscape is officially kicking off with a beautifully blasphemous bang thanks to horror movies like Obsession and Backrooms. Now, director Houston Bone’s wickedly entertaining Son of Sara: Volume 1 is joining the party. We are all deeply, dearly familiar with Rosemary’s Baby and the classic “unexpectedly birthing the Antichrist” setup. However, Son of Sara: Volume One drags the premise kicking and screaming into the 21st century, boasting a deliciously campy tone that straddles the line between satanic horror and pitch-black comedy. Following a massive wave of festival hype, Saban Films has officially acquired the U.S. distribution rights for the picture, with New York-based Visit Films handling international sales at the European Film Market. From YouTube Streams to Demonic Screams The film’s journey to the screen began back in October 2023, surviving a grueling shoot fueled by independent financing from Grisly Productions LLC and support from Telefilm Canada. Produced by Martine Brouillet under Bone’s Black Elephant Productions banner, the

The Thrilling Best-Seller ‘The Chain’ Gets the Series Order from HBO

Imagine the worst phone call a parent could ever receive: your child has been kidnapped. Now, imagine the ransom isn’t a briefcase full of unmarked bills. Instead, it’s a demand to go out and abduct someone else’s kid. Welcome to the moral meat-grinder limited series “The Chain.” This deeply disturbing, ethically bankrupt premise originates from Adrian McKinty‘s bestselling 2019 novel. HBO has officially locked it down for a prestigious eight-episode limited series. If you thought your family dynamics were stressful, wait until this hits your screens. Stephen King Approved (So, Prepare to Be Traumatized) You know a thriller is appropriately twisted when the Master of Horror himself stands up and applauds. Stephen King is a massive fan of the original novel, publicly crowning it a “nightmarish story” that is “incredibly propulsive and original.” King threw in a final ominous warning for good measure: “You won’t shake it for a long time.” Consider ourselves thoroughly warned. Hantavirus OR How I learned to stop worrying and understand the Virus!

With sensationalist headlines and a plethora of memes, people can’t seem to stop talking about the Hantavirus outbreak on the MV Hondius, a Dutch cruise ship that’s experiencing a viral outbreak. So, why am I here talking about it? Well, it’s kind of in my wheelhouse (no pun intended) as we’re looking at a Zoonotic Disease, something I know a bit about in my past career life working with animals! Long story short, you have nothing to worry about. The long story: Hantavirus is known to science as it was first seen around the Korean War, where soldiers in damp, dirty living conditions exposed them to their unwanted campmates…rodents. Rodents like rats and mice, but also through critters like moles, etc, can carry the Hantavirus and spread it through bites, their saliva, urine, or scat. Usually, when it comes to the urine and scat, it’s an aerosol, meaning it’s in the air and you can breathe it in, usually in

An Interview with Writer-Director Natasha Kermani About Her New Film The Dreadful

When it comes to female writers and directors, there just aren’t enough of them. It’s an important point of view and understanding. But there is one we need to talk about, Natasha Kermani. Kermani is a powerful voice. She’s behind the new horror thriller The Dreadful. Spoiler: It’s far from dreadful. Set deep in the heart of medieval England, the story follows Anne (Sophie Turner) and her mother-in-law, Morwen (Marcia Gay Harden). His arrival triggers a sinister curse that manifests through a mysterious, terrifying knight. Suddenly, their struggle for survival isn’t just about hunger and cold—it’s about a force that threatens to tear their world apart. The moment I saw the first poster and realized the film sees the reunion of Turner and Harrington, I was in. I am
