“What We Do In The Shadows” Ending After Season Six

All good things must come to an end. And according to Vulture, that is true even for the Emmy-nominated vampire comedy series “What We Do in the Shadows.” The site reports that production is set to begin next month for its upcoming sixth season but that it will be its last. FX is putting a stake through its heart. The series, based on the hit film by Jemaine Clement and Taiki Waititi, explores the lives of Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Laszlo (Matt Berry), and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) as they navigate life in Staten Island with the help of their human familiar, Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) who wants to be a vampire himself. Eli Roth & James Frey’s Spooky Family Series “Fright Krew” Getting A Second Season

Eli Roth and James Frey‘s family-friendly animated series “Fright Krew” has just been renewed by DreamWorks for its second season, which will premiere on Hulu and Peacock in 2024. Created and Executive produced by Roth and Frey, the first season, consisting of 10 episodes, recently debuted on Hulu and Peacock on October 2. Set in modern-day New Orleans, “Fright Krewe” follows an unlikely group of misfit teens who, through an ancient prophecy and the spirit of Marie Laveau – who’s based on the real-life Louisiana legend – are gifted with superhuman abilities bestowed by five loas, or Voodoo spirit guides to defeat a powerful fear-eating demon. This Stephen King Adaptation Deserves A Reboot Or Remake

We live in a time where everything is being rebooted, remade, or reimagined. Usually, I’m against that kind of thing, but there’s one Steph King project I would actually love to see be redone, the 2002 mini-series “Rose Red.” “Rose Red,” which features three episodes, sees a college professor and a team of psychics investigate an old mansion, hoping to explain some of the mysterious deaths on the property and capture actual paranormal activity. When participants, including psychics, stay in the mansion, a terrifying force threatens to destroy them all. The cast featured some rather large names at the time, including Nancy Travis (So I Married An Ax Murder), Matt Keeslar (Scream 3), Kimberly J. Hulu’s annual Halloween programming, Huluween, is in full swing. Earlier this week, the sci-fi thriller The Mill made its premiere and instantly shot to number one and has remained on the top 10 the entire week. In the film, “A businessman (Lil Rel Howery) wakes up beside an ancient grist mill situated in the center of an open-air prison cell with no idea how he got there. Forced to work as a beast of burden to stay alive, he must find a way to escape before the birth of his child.” The Mill is written by Jeffrey David Thomas (“All American: Homecoming,” “Titans”) and directed by Sean King O’Grady (“We Need to Do Something”).
