Rue Morgue Founder & Filmmaker Rodrigo Gudiño Talks ‘The Breach’ In An Interview

In 1997, Rodrigo Gudiño founded the horror/music magazine Rue Morgue, which has since become an iconic staple in the genre. But that’s not all he’s been up to. Somehow he has found the time to become a filmmaker as well. His latest film, The Breach, is set to be released this July. Let me tell you about The Breach. It follows John Hawkins, who is in his last days as Chief of Police in the tiny town of Lone Crow, deep in the woods of Northern Ontario. But when a mangled body with strange wounds is found on the shores of the Porcupine River, he’s pulled into a horrific mystery filled with black magic. And the soundtrack features the iconic Guns N’ Roses Guitarist and Rock God, Slash, who also serves as an Executive Producer. I had the pleasure of talking with Gudiño and discussing his magazine, The Breach, and his next film. The Breach premieres on Digital and VOD

Criminally Underrated Horror Movies You Need To Watch (Part III)

The third volume of our series, ‘Criminally Underrated Horror Movies You Need To Watch,’ provides more great films you may have missed. Be sure to check out Part I and Part II of our list. Keep an eye out for more lists to come. The Exorcist III (1990) The Exorcist III is the only film (in my opinion) that comes close to the quality of the original movie. Featuring a fantastic cast that gave powerhouse performances, The Exorcist III is simply brilliant. In the film, “A police lieutenant uncovers more than he bargained for as his investigation of a series of murders, which have all the hallmarks of the deceased Gemini serial killer, leads him to question the patients of a psychiatric ward.” Skeleton Key (2005) This horror-filled film stars Kate Hudson as a hospice nurse working at a spooky New Orleans plantation home who finds herself entangled in a mystery involving the house’s dark past. Where to watch: Starz,
