Movie Review: Lion-Girl (2023) – Cleopatra Entertainment Blu-ray

Beginning the way you’d imagine a live-action flick created in part by Go Nagai (Devilman, Violence Jack to name but a few… ) would; namely with a shit-ton of nudity (more on that in a bit) and folks turning into demons! After that bit of biz we learn that the world has been turned into a post-apocalyptic wasteland due to meteor strikes with the resulting remains of said strikes turning compatible humans into space demons known as ANORAC (that’s Corona backwards, and more on that in a bit as well). Meanwhile Japan, now known as Neo-Nippon, has fallen under the rule of the tyrannical Shogun Nobuhide Fujinaga (Tomoki Kimura) and his cadre of bondage-gear clad samurai lead by Kaisei Kishi (the ever-popular Derek Mears, who has been in a ton of stuff, so let’s go with 2009’s Friday the 13th update and the 2019 Swamp Thing TV series… and really goes all-fuckin’-out in this role to comic book super-villain perfection!).

Game Review: ‘Pinball M’

When you think of horror, the last thing that would come to mind would be, of all things, Pinball. Zen Studios, the game developer known for their pinball video games based on classic real-world arcade pinball games and digital machines based on popular TV shows and movies, have entered a new realm, Horror! This is Pinball M, a pinball game featuring some of the more grittier titles you would see for a pinball machine. I got a chance to get my hands on Pinball M and I’ll admit, I’m slightly getting addicted to this game. Pinball has always been a guilty pleasure of mine in arcades because it’s mindless fun, but now you mix in horror elements… now you’re speaking my language! The base game has one table featuring an original story/game called Wrath of the Elder Gods: Director’s Cut, a Lovecraftian pinball experience. The DLC is what will grab your attention with four tables featuring Dead by Daylight, Chucky’s

Game Review: ‘Turok 3: Shadows Of Oblivion Remastered’

Back in the day when N64 was king, I played the hell out of the first two Turok games, mainly the second one Seeds of Evil, but there was one that got away from me… Turok 3: Shadows of Oblivion. That’s different now thanks to Nightdive Studios, who have continued their hard work to bring old N64 games to modern consoles! This is Turok 3: Shadows of Oblivion Remastered. Turok 3: Shadows of Oblivion Remastered follows after the events of Turok 2, where the life forms known only as Oblivion have come back for Turok and killed him, forcing his siblings Danielle and Joseph to take up the mantle of becoming the next Turok. Game Review: ‘The Invincible’

Stanisław Lem’s novel The Invincible explores humanity’s relationship with life on other planets and how the evolution of life on Earth does not mean it’s superior. Starward Industries and 11 Bit Studio have brought Lem’s work to life in the appropriately named game adaptation, The Invincible. The Invincible follows astrobiologist Yasna, who is struggling to regain her memories while at the same time trying to figure out what happened to her crewmates on the planet of Regis III and the mystery behind these strange organic metal structures the crew was investigating. The controls for The Invincible are thankfully not complicated as the game keeps prompting you of what button does what. The soundtrack and sound design are stellar! The soundtrack catches the retro sci-fi mood with a modern twist. The thing I love about The Invincible is the art. The atompunk look of the equipment and tools, and the interior of the ship and vehicles. When it comes to the
