Star Cameron Bell Talks ‘Pinocchio: Unstrung’ in Our Interview

Fresh off its screening at Raindance Film Festival—where it casually bagged four major nominations—the latest nightmare from the Twisted Childhood Universe is gearing up to splinter its way into your local cinema. Pinocchio: Unstrung takes the classic fairy tale, douses it in gasoline, and sparks a deliciously dark fire. The story sees Geppetto, played by the legendary Richard Brake (interview), as he gives his grandson, James, a handcrafted wooden doll. Naturally, the kid possesses absolutely zero horror-movie survival instincts and immediately introduces his new wooden bestie to the real world. This innocent show-and-tell triggers a catastrophic domino effect. Pinocchio has a violent moral code. The absolute best way to be a “good boy” is to brutally eliminate anyone he deems “bad”. A Dream Team of Horror Royalty However, to ensure you never sleep soundly again, the filmmakers pulled off a stroke of twisted casting genius by recruiting horror royalty Robert Englund to voice a demonic, insectoid conscience—yes, a nightmare-fueled Jiminy

He decides that the best way to be a “real, good boy” is to eliminate anyone he deems “bad.” Architects of the franchise, writer-director Rhys Frake-Waterfield and producer Scott Chambers, have clearly mastered the art of turning public-domain nostalgia into pure box-office nightmare fuel. Interview with Terry Stone, Star of The Rise of the Footsoldier: Origins

The following is a syndicated interview. On the eve of LEGEND broadcasting the Channel Premiere of THE RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER: ORIGINS, we talk to Terry Stone about the challenges of playing Tony Tucker and why he thinks ORIGINS is the best film in the franchise. In RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER: ORIGINS, Tucker returns home from the Falklands War with severe PTSD. What was that like to emotionally explore? As an actor it was an interesting thing to play. It took me on a journey so when you see my character laughing a lot in the film it’s like a mask to hide all the shit that’s going on in my head. It also explains how you can go from 1 – 10 in violence. Lots of Footsoldier fans didn’t know that Tony Tucker was in the Army so this was a nice reveal and I think any forces veterans that have experienced real war and combat would understand it.

The Horror Comedy Series “Widow’s Bay” Rules the Emmy Nominations

The 2026 Primetime Emmy nominations have officially landed, and the dark, atmospheric world of “Widow’s Bay” has made a massive splash on the Television Academy’s radar! The acclaimed coastal mystery thriller snagged a phenomenal wave of nominations, proving that its slow-burn dread and sharp, identity-unraveling psychological tension completely captivated voters this season. “Widow’s Bay” was created by Katie Dippold. It follows a mayor trying to fix a reputation problem. Mayor Tom Loftis wants to turn his spooky town into a major tourist hotspot. Unfortunately, the local ghosts and ancient curses didn’t get the memo about the rebranding. Set 40 miles off the coast of New England, “Widow’s Bay” follows Mayor Tom Loftis (Matthew Rhys), a man who is desperately trying to save his dying town by turning it into a premier tourist destination. The problem? The locals are notoriously superstitious, the cell reception is nonexistent, and everyone thinks Tom is a bit of a coward. (To be fair, he is.)

When you’re watching a thriller that leaves your knuckles white and your throw pillows thoroughly abused, you have the Director of Photography (DP)/ Cinematographer to thank. They are the visual architects of a story. They are tasked with transforming a script’s raw tension into the haunting frames that keep us up at night. An Interview with Actress Mia Vallet on the Horrors of the Horror Film ‘Recluse’

From psychological thrillers to prestige drama, actor Mia Vallet (Believe) has built a career on bringing depth to complex characters. Now, she’s diving headfirst into the shadows for her latest role in Recluse. It’s a dark, twisted family reunion from hell that just celebrated its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Henry Chaisson. He’s the wonderfully warped mind behind the screenplay for Antlers and Apple TV+’s “Servant.” If that pedigree isn’t enough to get your skin crawling, Steven Schneider (Paranormal Activity, Insidious) is serving as Executive Producer via his genre label, Spooky Pictures. A Psychological Breakdown If you like your family dramas served with a side of generational trauma and black magic, Recluse will be your new obsession. Joan (Sasha Frolova, The Empty Man) is an audio engineer who literally spends her life hiding behind headphones. A sudden phone call from her estranged, ailing father sends her home. He’s a renowned

Obsession Star Cooper Tomlinson Talks Making the Film and More in Our Interview

Ahead of the film’s July 14th Blu-ray debut, I got to sit down and talk shop with Obsession star Cooper Tomlinson. Whether you recognize him from the monolith that is Dutton Ranch or as Ian, the ultimate voice of reason/best friend of Bear in Obsession, Cooper is currently riding the wave of a certified cultural phenomenon. Naturally, we spent our time dissecting Curry Barker’s masterpiece—a film I confidently called the undisputed horror event of 2026 in my review. For those who haven’t pressed play yet, the premise is a masterclass in “be careful what you wish for.” Bear is a lonely music store clerk who decides to bypass traditional dating by using a mysterious trinket known as the “One Wish Willow” (which you can totally buy here if you’re feeling reckless). He asks to win his crush’s heart. He gets his wish. But instead of a happily-ever-after, he unleashes a wave of nightmare-fueled psychological warfare. Because when you try to

The Director and Stars Talk ‘Hungry,’ Hippos, & Horror in Our Interview

When it comes to creature features, cinema has given us a million sharks, countless alligators, and plenty of oversized bears. But there is only one hippo horror movie, and it’s officially stomping its way into your viewing schedule. I’m talking about Hungry. Despite what the title might suggest, this is definitely not a whimsical, live-action adaptation of the classic Hasbro board game you played as a kid. There are no plastic marbles here—only tragedy, raw power, and a very high body count. The Itinerary: A Louisiana Tour Gone Horribly Wrong The story follows a group of thrill-seeking tourists who embark on a riverboat tour through the Louisiana swamplands. Lured by the promise of an “exclusive adventure”—which, in horror movie speak, translates directly to “no one is making it back to the hotel”—the group ends up completely off the map and very much on the menu. They soon find themselves systematically hunted by a creature Hollywood has criminally overlooked until now:
