HBO Renews “Last Of Us” For Season Two

This probably comes as no surprise given the show’s popularity, but HBO has officially ordered the second season of “The Last of Us!” We may just be a couple of episodes into the new series, but the new horror drama already has more than 5.7 million viewers tuning in, and rightfully so. From what’s being said, the first season will concentrate on the original game, and the second season will concentrate on the first game’s sequel. “I’m humbled, honored, and frankly overwhelmed that so many people have tuned in and connected with our retelling of Joel and Ellie’s journey. The collaboration with Craig Mazin, our incredible cast and crew, and HBO exceeded my already high expectations,” co-showrunner Neil Druckmann said in a statement. “Now we have the absolute pleasure of being able to do it again with season two! ‘Children Of The Corn’ Remake Walks Behind The Rows This March

RLJE Films has now announced that it will release the remake of the horror classic horror film Children of the Corn in Theaters this March. Directed and written by Kurt Wimmer (Ultraviolet), the film is based on the short story “Children of the Corn” by Stephen King. It stars Elena Kampouris (Before I Fall), Kate Moyer (“Station Eleven”), Callan Mulvey (The Gray Man), and Bruce Spence (The Road Warrior). “Possessed by a spirit in a dying cornfield, a twelve-year-old girl in Nebraska recruits the other children in her small town to go on a bloody rampage and kill all the adults and anyone else who opposes her. The town’s only hope of survival is a bright high schooler who won’t go along with the plan.” Children of the Corn will open in theaters on March 3, 2023, and On Demand and Digital on March 21, 2023.

“Wolf Pack” Bares Its Teeth On Paramount+ Tonight!

Get ready to howl at the moon, the new series “Wolf Pack,” starring Sarah Michelle Gellar (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), premieres tonight exclusively on Paramount+! Based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, “Wolf Pack” follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills. The Zombies In HBO’s “Last Of Us” Are Based On Something Real!

Odds are, by now, you’ve seen the first couple of episodes of the “Last of Us” adaptation, and let’s be honest, it’s fantastic! “The series is set twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse across the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.” Right off to bat, you are probably wondering about the show’s gnarly zombies. Paramount Pictures is rolling the dice with a new trailer for the upcoming movie Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, inspired by the iconic dice-based fantasy game. Adaptation Of Stephen King’s ‘The Boogeyman’ Scores Summer Release

Host director Rob Savage’s new film, The Boogeyman, a Stephen King adaptation, has just scored a release date. Not only has The Boogeyman gone over well in test screenings, but it also has King’s approval, which is both excellent signs that we are getting a quality film. In the film, “Still reeling from the tragic death of their mother, a teenage girl and her little brother find themselves plagued by a sadistic presence in their house and struggle to get their grieving father to pay attention before it’s too late.” Sophie Thatcher (“Yellowjackets,” pictured) and Chris Messina (Birds of Prey) star alongside David Dastmalchian (Dune, The Suicide Squad), Vivien Lyra Blair (Bird Box, Mr. Corman), Marin Ireland (Y: The Last Man, The Umbrella Academy), and Madison Hu (Voyagers). 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy, Dan Levine & Dan Cohen are producing the film based on King’s original story, first published in 1973, before becoming part of his Night Shift collection in 1978.

Movie Review: The Return of Swamp Thing (1989)

Something bizarre is going down in the bayou; there seems to be strange creatures stalking the swamps…and by strange I mean even weirder than our moss encrusted walking vegetable of a leading man; namely Swamp Thing his own damn self (once again played with heart and conviction by the late great Dick Durock)! Naturally the monsters are the result of the machinations of Swampy’s old nemesis, the mad doctor Anton Arcane (Louis Jourdan…reprising his role from the first film even thought he turned into a hedgehog beast and was destroyed at the end of the previous picture…1982’s Wes Craven helmed opus Swamp Thing), who is none to pleased our evergreen hero is still walking around handing out ass beatings to whatever mutant he comes across. New Director Sinks His Fangs Into Marvel’s ‘Blade’

Yann Demange, who served as an exec produced for “Lovecraft Country,” as well as directed its pilot episode, has replaced Bassam Tariq as the director for Marvel’s upcoming Blade movie, which is being described as a more dark, gritty, and edgier movie than fans usually get from Marvel. The vampire movie also has a new writer, Emmy winner Michael Starrbury, known for The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete and for writing episodes of series such as “When They See Us.” We last heard the voice of Oscar-winner and star Mahershala Ali as Blade in the post-credit scene of 2021’s Eternals (see the clip below) when Dane (Kit Harington)/ the Black Knight reaches for a sword wrapped in cloth in a wooden box. Eli Roth Finally Making The Feature Film Based On His Grindhouse Trailer

Eli Roth is finally making a feature film based on Thanksgiving, the mock trailer that Roth made for Quentin Tarantino’s 2007 film Grindhouse, Deadline is reporting. . The news comes on the heels of a report that Tim Miller will step in for Roth to do the Borderlands reshoots for Lionsgate so that Roth can work on Thanksgiving. “The Thanksgiving trailer presented the gory teaser about a pseudo movie in which a slasher makes his carving board out of the inhabitants of a Massachusetts town that makes a big annual fuss over the annual turkey day,” Deadline states. “One of the pivotal scenes involved Roth himself, separated from his head while in the throes of passion with a date in a convertible.” Shooting is set to begin in March, with Roth directing from the script penned by Jeff Rendell.
