11 Bit Studios and Odd Meter, will be taking players on a journey through a parallel 19th-century Russia as an Orthodox Nun named INDIKA the title character in the upcoming 3rd-person narrative adventure. In INDIKA, players assume the role of the titular nun, Indika, embarking on a mind-bending journey to explore the duality of good and evil and the understanding that nothing is absolute. A third-person perspective adventure game, blending exploration with environmental puzzles and a touch of platforming. However, steeped in themes of sin, sorrow, and moral dilemmas. The story of INDIKA does not end there, the story of its Developers, Odd Meter, is quite mindblowing as well! Odd Meter is a 16-person team from Russia, who had to uproot their lives and flee to Kazakhstan after Russia invaded Ukraine. Even before the war, Odd Meter was in talks with 11 Bit about doing INDIKA, and at the time Odd Meter was already risking their freedom as the topic

Souls Games… Nothing gets the blood pumping more than a game where defeat is part of the story and repetitive action to earn back lost points while running the risk of losing them forever, using skills you normally don’t use in other games and the fact that you’re playing this willingly… Some run marathons, while others take on a game like Lords of the Fallen. I would like to thank CI Games and Hexworks for sending me a copy of this glorious nightmare, I mean that in a good way! Lords of the Fallen takes you to the land of Mournsted, where the five beacons of Hallowed Sentinels have become corrupted and will allow Adyr, a demon god, to return. Players take on the role of a resurrected individual who must take on the role of a Dark Crusader and stop the demon god’s return. Lords of the Fallen‘s controls are pretty involved, so paying close attention to the tutorial

Right now, on the Chilling App, there’s a film that’s caught the eye of many after its trailer made quite a splash on the internet, a horror retelling of The Wizard of Oz. The short film titled Gale Stay Away From Oz by Daniel Alexander Films directed by Daniel Alexander and Stars Chloë Crump as Emily Gale. In Gale Stay Away From Oz, Emily is plagued by a recurring nightmare. Emily’s trying to make sense of these dreams as she’s grieving the loss of her mother. Emily then discovers she has a grandmother who is a successful author who wrote a book based on her dreams, and her grandmother’s name… Dorothy. The film itself is quite short, around 28 minutes long, so I’m giving some leeway here when it comes to the pacing of the story, stiff acting, and cheap-looking practical effects that kind of ruin the scares. I feel comfortable saying that because here’s the thing. As a storyteller,

It’s that time of year when it’s getting cooler outside, rainy nights are becoming more frequent, and Halloween is on our minds. Two things that collide head-on this time of year are being cozy and getting spooky, and there’s no better way to experience this than reading spooky stories… by candlelight. Reading by candlelight is a fun experience, especially if you like reading classic horror like I do, but it can come with some drawbacks. The main issue is you’re dealing with an open flame, and sometimes fire is not our friend. This is where Levenger comes in with the Wick LED Candle. I want to first thank Levenger for sending over one of these candles for me to try! Levenger keeps readers, writers, and those who like to do a bit of thinking in mind with a wide range of products, the Wick LED Candle being one of their best sellers, and after trying it out, I can see

When I think of 2D Pixle-art games, I remember the old DOS games I played as a kid. As a kid, they were spooky, but after growing up and seeing the evolution of graphics, I now look back at how lame they were. Unfortunately, I still hold this view. Can Indisruption and Blowfish Studios’ psychological horror Vlad Circus: Descend Into Madness make me change my mind? In Vlad Circus: Descend Into Madness, players play the role of Oliver “Lazy Ollie” Mills, a former circus clown. Ollie has been invited to Petrescu Manor along with some former circus performers, with the hope of revealing the haunting truth behind the tragedy that struck Vlad Circus eight years prior. Now, on to the game itself! When it comes to the controls, they are pretty easy to remember the layout once you learn them, I only wish there was a better tutorial system for it though. The soundtrack is great and fits the narrative

Back during its 1982 golden age, Atari released an adventure game that changed gaming by becoming one of, if not the first survival horror games created, Haunted House. Atari and Orbit Studio have reimagined the legendary game for modern audiences in time for Halloween! I want to thank Atari and Orbit Studio for allowing me to check out this revamped legend! Haunted House follows Lyn Graves and her friends as they go to a haunted house her exploring uncle disappeared in. After arriving at the spooky location, Lyn is separated from her friends and must now find them too as well as put a curse to bed, and end the hauntings. Now, on to the game itself! Haunted House‘s controls seem a bit complicated for a relatively simple story and game with so many mechanics being thrown at you right off the bat! When it comes to sound for Haunted House, the soundtrack, though good, needs more variety. The game

11 Bit Studios have released three new trailers for their upcoming dark RPG The Thaumaturge, each focusing on one of the four Salutors that help the game’s main protagonist Wiktor. Salutors are otherworldly creatures that will assist Wiktor in combat, each with their own unique lore and special abilities to aid our hero in his fight against the growing evil in 1905’s Warsaw. Three of the four Salutors already have their trailers out with the fourth, Weles coming out at a later date. Fans will be meeting the terror lurking in the shadows, Bukavac, a horned monster that’s hard to tame. The ghost of foolishness, Lelek, is a bird-like creature that gets into a person’s head and makes them insane. Finally, there’s the ghost of a tormented soul, the Upyr, the spirit of a person that’s neither alive nor dead and resents the living.
