New Details Emerge For Johannes Roberts’ ‘Resident Evil’ Including Its Title

During the SXSW director Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, The Strangers: Prey at Night)) not only gave new details about the upcoming Resident Evil movie, but he also revealed its title, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, IGN reports. Set to be released this September, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, which has officially wrapped filming, is an adaptation of the first two games of the hit franchise. Roberts told IGN that the tone of the film was very important to him and that he drew inspiration from John Carpenter’s Assault on Precinct 13 and The Fog. The thing I loved about the games is they were just scary as hell and that is very much what I wanted. That atmosphere — it’s rain, it’s constantly dark, it’s creepy. Raccoon City is kind of this rotten character in the movie and that sort of atmosphere in the games I wanted to put in [the film].” Roberts continued, “I’m a huge

Movie Review: ‘Dead Again’ – Now Out On Amazon Prime

Dead Again…where to start? When I sat down to watch writer-director Steven M. Smith’s zombie/alien movie Dead Again I had high hopes, after all, the trailer looked decent. I mean the movie is being described as “Hot Fuzz meets Shaun of the Dead,” so it has to be good, right? My high hopes lasted all of five minutes. As we meet our main characters, two cops played by Tony Fadil and Elliot Cable, they are having a conversation about movies. Soon they get a call about intruders at a closed hospital where they find a couple noising around. It’s not long before the place is swarmed by zombies or are they, zombies? Zombie/aliens, zomiens? You see, aliens are attacking the world. The film is supposed to be funny? Campy? Hell, I don’t know. Instead what we get are lines and scenes that aren’t funny enough to be funny or campy enough to be campy. Dead Again‘s cinematography is a mixed
