Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse – A Review

There has been a lot of buzz about Christopher Landon’s zombie-comedy Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, now I know why. Last night when I sat down to watch Scouts Guide, I was hoping it would live up to the hype. The film follows three Scouts, who happen to be best friends. Two of the friends, Ben (Tye Sheridan) and Carter (Logan Miller), are starting to worry how people look at them. They’ll be juniors (in high school) next year and like most kids at that age, they worry girls won’t think they’re cool. While trying decide how to tell Augie (Joey Morgan) (the third friend) they want to quit Scouts, they hit a deer. Ben and Carter are changing the tire when Carter’s sister Kendall (Halston Sage) and her boyfriend and friend pull up. Ben has had a crush on Kendall since he was little, but she’s pretty and popular, and she has a boyfriend, who’s a douche. Carter

Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse Getting Early Release

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse will be coming to DVD on December 8th, just 39 days after it’s theatrical premiere. Christopher Landon, who also directed ‘Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones’, is behind the film about three Scouts who join forces with a bad-ass waitress to survive when their town is swarmed by zombies. Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse stars Patrick Shchwarzenegger, Tye Sheridan, Halston Sage, David Koechner and Jesica Ahlberg, among others. Human zombies aren’t the only things the cast will have to face. They also have to dodge, a horde of crazy zombie kitties who want to make a meal out of the group. Scouts Guide is just one of several new films that will be part of Paramount’s experiment that will test if the normal 90-day period studios wait to release films on DVD is really the right way to go. Either way, fans are grateful for the early releases.

Movie Review: ‘Burying The Ex’ (2015)

Last night I watched Joe Dante’s new zombie flick ‘Burying the Ex’. It was exactly what I was expecting, funny, slightly gory and great. ‘Burying the Ex’ stars Anton Yelchin as Max. Max wants out of his relationship with Evelyn (Ashley Greene) who is over barring, bossy, jealous, high maintenance and condescending about Max’s dream of owning his own horror shop and Travis, his half brother. After she moves in and destroys Max’s mint condition horror poster collection during a surprise redecorating of the apartment, he realizes that it’s not going to work out, and who could blame him. He tells Evelyn to meet him at the park so he can end things, but when she arrives she is struck by a truck and killed. You would think that would be the end of it, but you would be wrong. Time passes and he’s falling for Olivia (Alexandra Daddario), but things get complicated when Evelyn returns from the dead, as

A Review Of The Zombie Film Wyrmwood: Road Of The Dead

There have been a flood of zombie movies released over the past few years, making it hard for one movie to really stand out, but ‘Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead’ does just that. Writer-director Klah Roache-Turner’s Australian film has already accomplished what most horror films can’t, a world-wide following. The film stars Jay Gallagher (War Games), Bianca Bradly (This Woman’s World), Damian Dyke,Keith Agius, Berynn Schwerdt, Cain Thompson, Leon Burchill and Sherida Harbridge . ‘Wyrmwood’ follows a man (Gallagher) who had to make the heart-breaking decision to put down his wife and daughter after an asteroid triggers a zombie apocalypse. Along the way Gallagher’s character Barry, teams up with a group of survivors. Barry’s sister Brooke (Bradey), is taken by a military group and handed off to a psychotic doctor who is performing experiments on both zombies and people. After a series of shots, Brooke develops the power to control zombies telepathically. Brooke is as badass as she is beautiful

Nazi Zombies Attack In ‘Sky Sharks’

A team of geologists, deep in the Antarctic, uncover an old Nazi laboratory containing the remains of dark experiments. The scientists accidentally unleash a top-secret project, modified, flying sharks and their mutated, super-human zombie riders. The only force that can stop the mutated weapons are the “Dead Flesh Four”, a team of undead U.S. soldiers that were killed and reanimated during the war in Vietnam. Marc Fehse is the director behind ‘Sky Sharks’. The cast includes Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (‘Planet of the Apes’), Robert LaSardo (Death Race), Tobias Schenke (Taxi) and Micaela Schafer (Seed 2). ‘Sky Sharks’ sounds like a great flick, but there is one catch, the people behind the zombie movie need your help to finish the project. They are running a Kickstarter campaign to help raise the money for production and to prove to investors that ‘Sky Sharks’ is worth the investment. Did I mention the cool perks their Kickstarter campaign offers, including shirts, DVDs, posters, set visits
