John Behlmann, who has starred in series such as “Riverdale”, “The Good Wife” and in films such as The Wolf of Wall Street and lent his voice to the World of Warcraft franchise, sat down with me to talk about one of his latest projects, the thriller Dead Sound. Based on true events, Dead Sound is from director Tony Glazer, and writers Jon Adler and Ted Weihman. It also stars genre icon Jeff Kober (The Walking Dead, Buffy), Terminator: Dark Fate’s Brett Azar, and Stranger Things’ Matty Cardarople, along with Behlmann. In the film, “four best friends from boarding school decide to attend a massive blow-out High School graduation party on Block Island. After missing the last ferry they decide to hire a fishing boat to take them on what should be a simple journey. Samwise Didier’s ‘How To’ Book Is A Fun Challenge: Book Review

I’m always up to a challenge and willing to try anything new, especially when it comes to the arts. Thankfully Thunder Bay Press allowed me to check out Samwise Didier’s book How to Draw Mythical Monsters and Magical Creatures: An Artist’s Guide to Drawing Mythical Creatures from One of the Masters, that’s quite a mouthful. Let’s talk quickly about Didier himself first. For those of you not familiar with him but most likely know his works. The book is spiral-bound which helps with keeping pages open so no pressing down the

‘Fortnite’ Hit With Lawsuits

The game that’s taking the gaming world by storm may soon find itself in serious legal trouble. Epic Games’ hit “Fortnite” is popular with children, gamers, and youtubers/streamers looking for a quick buck by piggybacking on the game’s success to the point of sacrificing “content” on their channels by having nothing but all videos of themselves playing the game. The game is also popular because it’s free to download but revenue is generated through what’s known in gaming as “Microtransactions”, that’s buying in-game items with real-world cash. Players of “Fortnite” buy skins for their characters and other cosmetic items. One thing players cherish most and will spend a lot of money on are the “emotes” most particularly dance moves players can make their characters do. They say imitation is a form of flattery but three stars don’t agree. Russell Horning became a viral star with his famous dance move known as “floss’n”, one of the most popular dance moves in

Recently Chance6 Studios released their psychological horror game “COLINA: Legacy” on Steam. The game follows a young man named Alex who woke up alone in his grandmother’s house and realizes that things are not right. The story calls back to survival horror games from the past and mixes it with escape room puzzles all the while facing the unknown. One thing can make or break a good movie or video game, the soundtrack. When you want the best for your music you go to the best to get it done, this is where Hexany Audio comes in. You may not know the name but you most likely heard their work. Hexany Audio has done sound design, music composition, and voice-over recordings for companies like Disney, Google, Apple, SONY, Nike, Ubisoft, and Activision just to name a few! I was honored to interview two of Hexany Audio’s composers who worked on “COLINA: Legacy”, Matthew Carl Earl, lead composer and co-owner of
