What Makes ‘Contagion’ The Most Relevant “Horror” Film Right Now?

Alright first off, true, Contagion is not really a horror film, but a thriller but due to recent events going on around the world, it might as well be as there are so many creepy similarities boarding lining with Simpsonsesque foresight which is why the film is more relevant now than when it came out in 2011. What adds credence to the film is the outpouring of praise and support by the scientific community that applaud the film’s showing of what goes on behind the scenes when scientists are put on the front line to fight a pandemic. For those not familiar with the film, Contagion follows the spread of a new (fictitious) virus that becomes known as MEV-1 and how it spread quickly around the world causing mass panic and death while the CDC along with other organizations struggle to find a way to combat the virus as misinformation spreads. Just Like The Coronavirus, Panic And Misinformation Is Spreading

Cases of Corona Virus (AKA SARS-CoV-2, and COVID-19) are on the rise in the United States and the result are as suspected; people are starting to panic while ignoring the experts. The rate of panic has now increased since my last article about people being afraid of contracting the disease from all things Corona Beer. New fears arose due in part of deliberate misinformation spreading by “Troll Farms” on social media that are making people afraid of people of East Asian Decent as seen on multiple viral (no pun intended) videos on social media showing people freaking out at fellow public transit passengers that are Asian. Understanding Coronavirus

You’re seeing it all over the news, may it be on TV, your phone, newspapers, websites, you name it; everyone is talking about Coronavirus. The disease was formally known as the “Wuhan Virus” as the outbreak originated in the capital city of Wuhan in the province of Hubei in China. The name was changed to Coronavirus since that’s the actual name of the family the virus is part of. Either way, the increasing number of cases and the rising death toll being shown in media is causing mass panic overseas and potentially here at home soon enough. The biggest problem right now is the media acting like this is something new, as never before seen virus hell-bent on killing all humans and bringing forth a modern medieval age. Logan Paul Has A New Problem, Japanese Police

The most hated man on the internet who “Dabs on Haters” can’t Dab his way out of this one. Police officials from Yamanashi prefecture want to speak with Logan Paul in relation to his disastrous click-bait video that shows him and his friends in Japan’s “Suicide Forest” where they found the remains of a victim of suicide and joke around while filming it. It’s unclear why the Police wish to speak with Logan since they’re declining to comment, in Japan whenever a suicide is involved. Though there have been many documentaries made in Japan’s Suicide Forest, Logan Paul’s is a first of its kind where the ones filming, visibly show disrespect and exploit the situation. A side note, contrary to popular belief Japan does not have the highest suicide rates in the world.
