Zombies, Vampires Or Humans: Burying A False Meme

Oh the internet, you give us hours of entertainment and insight into the world around us. Sadly you’re also the home of the misinformed and the gullible. There’s been a meme circulating the web for years showing a gravesite with an iron cage covering it, quite peculiar indeed till you read the text that accompanies it. There’s a lot wrong with this meme. First off, the Victorians (1837-1901) were not as naive and terrified of the world around them as the generations before them. Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: Sheri Moon Zombie

Hello my Little Monsters, I’m pleased to see that you have again returned to join me in celebrating another of our wonderful Women of Horror. We are less than one week from Halloween, and it just so happens that today’s lovely and talented lady played Michael Myer’s mother in Rob Zombie’s brutal remake of John Carpenter’s horror classic Halloween. That’s right, today Sheri Moon Zombie is our lady in the spotlight. Sheri Lyn Skurkis may be a California girl by birth, having been born in San Jose, but she was raised in Torrington, Connecticut. In her late teens, Sheri would travel back and forth between Connecticut and California while she attended school and also pursued work. While she didn’t originally have designs on becoming an actress in the traditional sense, Sheri had her sights set on doing voice overs and voice acting for cartoons and animation. At one point she also wanted to join MTV’s ranks as a “VJ” and

An Interview With Film And TV Composer And Musician Charlie Clouser

One of the most important parts of a film is its score and soundtrack. Even if you don’t realize it, the music is there to guide you through the movie and influence your mood, the setting, and the tone of the movie. Recently, I had the opportunity to interview a fantastic composer, musician, and Grammy nominee Charlie Clouser who has composed a long list of scores for television, film, and games including for the ‘Saw’ franchise, ‘Wayward Pines’, and the iconic opening score of ‘American Horror Story’. You may recognize Clouser for his work as a musician. He was one of the founding members of Nine Inch Nails. Clouser still works in the music industry today, creating remixes for musicians like Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie’s band White Zombie. Horror Fuel: “You have been involved with various roles in the music industry for a while. How old were you when you began playing music and what was your first instrument?”
