Warner Bros. Remaking ‘Invasion Of The Body Snatchers’

One of the classic horror/sci-fi films that has always had a following is Don Siegel’s 1956 Invasion of the Body Snatchers, based on the 1954 novel ‘The Body Snatchers’ by Jack Finney, and was remade in 1978 by director Philip Kaufman. With the current rash of remakes/reboots it is no surprise that Warner Bros. has a new version of the film currently in development. The script is being penned by David Leslie Johnson who also wrote the scripts for The Conjuring 2 and the upcoming sequel, The Conjuring 3. John Davis (Predator, I, Robot) will produce. The film is set in a small town invaded by aliens who plant pods that eventually open to release what looks like a copy of the humans in town, void of any emotion. We will keep you posted as the story develops. In the meantime, check out the trailer for the 1978 film.

Mega Storms Ravage Earth In Geostorm – From The Producer Of Independence Day

There has long been a debate on if disaster films should be considered a subgenre of horror. Ask anyone who has ever been through one and they will tell yes (including me). A natural disaster can be one of the most terrifying things a person ever experiences. For that reason, we here at Horror Fuel will continue to cover disaster films. And there’s one you need to hear about right now whose trailer has just been unleashed, Geostorm. In Geostorm, a man heads into space to prevent climate controlling satellites from creating a storm of epic proportions. During the emergency, his brother sets out to stop a plot to assassinate the president while facing mother nature at her worst. The film features every weather-based natural disaster that you can think of, tornadoes, tsunamis and more, but on a bigger, more destructive scale than we have ever witnessed. Gerard Butler (Olympus Has Fallen, 300) leads the cast that includes Katheryn Winnick,

Rainn Wilson Boards Giant Shark Film Meg

Jon Turteltaub’s adaption of Steve Alten’s giant shark film ‘Meg’ has added another star to the cast. Deadline reports Rainn Wilson (The Office, Backstorm) has boarded the film that features an already impressive cast. ‘Meg’ centers on a Megalodon reeking havoc on present day China. Wilson will play the role of tech billionaire Jack Morris. Morris funds an underwater observation program that unwittingly unleashes a 70-foot, 40-ton Carcharodon Megalodon, the prehistoric relative of Great White sharks. Action star Jason Statham will play a former Navy Captain and expert deep-sea diver. Statham’s character is recruited for a likely suicide mission – even though he faced the predator years before and was forced him to abort his mission and abandon half his crew. We reported earlier this month that ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress Ruby rose has also boarded the film. Rose will play “a kick-ass engineering genius and member of the marine research team.” Bingbing Fan (Iron Man 3) and

Owners Of The ‘Conjuring’ House Suing Warner Bros. Over Fans

You would think it would be great to live in a house that has been featured in a major movie, but that’s not always the case. The owners of the house where ‘The Conjuring’ was filmed are suing Warner Bros. after a horde of overzealous fans have trespassed on the property. According to the documents obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Gerals Helfrich and Norma Sutcliffe or Harrisville, Rhode Island, are attempting to hold the studio and filmmakers responsible for a “Conjuring-instigated siege of their property.” Since the film was released in July 2013, the couple has faced “threats of physical violence and harm, sleepless nights, and worry that one day, one of the many trespassers will commit an act of destruction, violence, or harm,” the suit alleges. The couple purchased the house in 1987 and say they lived there “in peace” until the film’s release, in 2013. The suit also claims that Warner Bros. made the film and released it without

In ‘Inferno’ Dante is guided through the nine circles of Hell by Virgil. The film adaption will follow Dante through the nine circles to save the woman he loves. This is where the film will differ from the poem, at no point does Dante seek to save his Beatrice. In fact in the in the poem Beatrice saves Dante at the end of ‘Purgatorio’ and replaces Virgil as
