The werewolf film will star Ryan Gosling (Blade Runner 2049), but there is no concrete word if he will play the titular role. According to Variety, Universal has been meeting with several potential directors including Cory Finley (Bad Education). Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo (“Orange Is the New Black”) wrote the script based on the pitch by Gosling. The original Wolfman was released back in 1941 and starred Claude Rains and Lon Chaney Jr. It follows a man as he returns to his homeland and is attacked by a creature of folklore and infected with a horrific disease that transforms him into a wolfman. Movie Review: ‘The Invisible Man’

I’ve had high expectations for The Invisible Man since day one. And as I sat in the theater this weekend hearing the audience’s screams around me, it became clear that this brilliant film from writer-director Leigh Whannell is without a doubt making the top of our “Best of 2020” list. Not many movies can make me jump these days, but The Invisible Man had me curled up in my seat holding onto my man’s arm with a death grip. Is it scary? Hell yes! But that’s not all the movie is about. At the heart of the story is Cecilia (Elizabeth Moss), a woman fighting to break free from her psychotic, abusive boyfriend, Adrian (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) who has the means to make her life a living hell. He’s created a suit that turns you invisible and he uses it to alienate her and torture her every way he can. But what he’s not counting on is Cecilia finding the strength

On the heels of Leigh Whannell’s success with Universal’s The Invisible Man, horror heavy hitter James Wan (Saw, The Conjuring franchise) has signed on to develop a monster movie for Universal Studios, THR is reporting. Wan’s Atomic Monster will be producing the currently untitled movie written by “Supernatural’s” Robbie Thompson. “Sources say the story takes its cues from Universal’s classic monster legacy and shines it through a modern prism. With shades of Disturbia, the story will focus on a group of teens who discover that a neighbor is building a monster in his basement. Spoiler: the monster gets loose.” Sounds a bit like a modern Frankenstein, doesn’t it? At this time Universal Studios has quite a few monster movies in the works, including Monster Mash and The Invisible Woman. The question is are they part of the “Dark Universe,” the revival of the Universal Monster franchise that we heard so much about a couple of years ago? Or are they
