Small Town Monsters’ “On The Trail Of UFOs: Dark Sky” Lands This August

Cryptid documentarian Seth Breedlove and paranormal researcher Shannon LeGro continue their search for the truth behind the enigma of unidentified flying objects in the latest Small Town Monsters release: On the Trail of UFOs: Dark Sky. Dark Sky explores the UFO topic from the point of view of LeGro; a podcast host and author and focuses more heavily on eyewitness accounts than typical alien fare. This project excited us because we were able to look into reports from real people in real places that still connect what they’re seeing to what is being talked about in the mainstream media today,” Breedlove said. “Particularly, this idea of why these objects or lights in the sky might actually be here on earth and how they might be closer connected to us than we think.” On the Trail of UFOs: Dark Sky is the follow-up to 2020’s “On the Trail of UFOs: Season 1“, an episodic series created by Breedlove and LeGro and

‘The Peterson Case’, A Detective Game That’s Out Of This World

The developers at Quarter Circle Games will plunge players into a detective story like no other in The Peterson Case, a truly unique horror game set in 1947 Roswell, New Mexico. You are Franklyn Reinhardt, a detective, and you’re looking into the disappearance of the Peterson family. While investigating the house, Reinhardt discovers there is something else in the empty home. Players will have to solve puzzles that will help Reinhardt discover what happened to the Peterson family. The obvious element of the story is that The Peterson Case involves aliens, 1947 in Roswell ‘nough said, but it’s not the typical alien encounter type gameplay, it seems to be more cerebral. Reinhardt (from what can be seen in the trailer) is taken to different places or events in his life where it seems the extraterrestrials are pulling the strings. The Peterson Case will be out sometime in 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Mothman In Chicago?!

Since February of last year, over 55 eyewitnesses in the city of Chicago have reported something strange flying in the sky and concluded that it’s the famous Mothman. Mothman is a cryptid resembling a tall man with large wings like that of a moth, its notable feature is its large red glowing eyes that resemble brake lights. The creature was first reported in 1966 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia and the sightings lasted until December 15, 1967, after the collapse of the Silver Bridge leaving many to believe that the Mothman was either a warning or harbinger of the incident that claimed 46 lives. The debate back then continues to this day, trying to figure out what exactly is the mothman, some say it’s a supernatural creature, others believe it’s an alien, and there have even been suggestions that it’s a failed experiment from WWII since most of the original sightings were around McClintic Wildlife Management Area or as the

Supernatural Or Natural: Hoia Baciu Forest

West of the city Cluj-Napoca, Romania lays the 729-acre forest of Hoia Baciu. The forest over the years has been used by many as a way to escape the city and wander through nature. Many come to hike, camp, picnic, and most notable taking photographs of the unique trees that have grown in the woods. In recent years a bike path was installed for those wishing to bike among the vast vegetation. For those seeking excitement, there’s even a place where you can play Paintball or Airsoft and there’s even an archery range for those who wish to test their marksmanship skills. Hoia Baciu Forest’s soil even holds archeological evidence of a settlement dating back to the Neolithic period believed to have been established around 6500 BC making it the oldest settlement from that time period to be found in Romania. Hoia Baciu Forest has a little something for everyone, which would explain why it has so many visitors yearly,

A Whole New Thing: When a Remake Isn’t a Remake

It’s Not A Remake The Thing, 2011, is NOT a remake. It is a prequel. I just did more than the entire Universal Studios marketing department with that clarification. John Carpenter got royally screwed on his 1982 masterpiece. Some call The Thing his greatest film. Others, like me, call it one of the greatest films ever made for any genre. Carpenter’s film was buried in 1982 by a candy pilfering alien and Spielberg. Between a lackluster marketing campaign by Universal Studios and America’s pop sugar desire for heart glowing aliens, The Thing, 1982, never really had a chance. Carpenter himself saw the handwriting on the wall after exiting a plane to giant advertisements for ET: The Extraterrestrial. “We’re done,” he lamented. However home video and cable gave his film a new life, and eventually the tortoise caught up and passed the alien. Today, Carpenter’s film is regarded as timeless and as mentioned, by many, his best. The film is deserving
