Where Can ‘The Terror’ Go Next?

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of the anthology series “The Terror”. The first season was based on the book of the same name by Dan Simmons that follows the doomed Franklyn Expedition that was looking for the Northwest Passage in the arctic. The story follows the crew’s attempt to survive being stuck in the ice while being hunted by a supernatural beast. The second season titled “Infamy” was an original story that took place during WWII and followed Japanese American characters dealing with the horrors of war-time racism while at the same time being haunted by a spirit ripped right out of Japanese folklore. The concept of adding horror elements occurring alongside historical events is quite intriguing and fun. At the moment there’s no word about a third season (which I hope there will be one!) but till then the question remains if the series is going to continue the historical horror anthology premise, where could the series

The Sun Sets On ‘The Terror: Infamy’

The season finally AMC’s horror anthology series, “The Terror” ended on a high note with its second season titled “Infamy” that took place during the events of the Second World War when American citizens of Japanese descent were forced into internment camps as the American government feared that they would aid the Empire of Japan from within. After watching all the episodes here’s my spoiler-free look at The Terror: Infamy. First off, unlike the first season, this season’s story is original and right from the get-go, it pulls you in with the creepiness! As much as I loved the first season, it’s kind of boring in comparison with this one as there’s a lot of buildup with brief moments of horror followed up by more exposition. In this season, the story is being told as the action unfolds. I should also note that there are moments where the characters speak Japanese and there are subtitles, thankfully these moments are timed

Ghastly Souvenirs: Episode 4 Of ‘The Terror: Infamy’ Touches On War Time Horror

WARNING: The following article contains images that are considered disturbing. Last night’s episode of The Terror: Infamy is picking up the horror factor and living up to my expectations! But something from the episode titled “The Weak Are Meat”, stood out towards the beginning of the episode that’s quickly forgotten as the action picks up. In this scene, this season’s protagonist, Chester (Derek Mio) is escorted through the scene of a recent battle and as he passes by a tent, we see a Marine carving a human shinbone and as we pass by through Chester’s eyes we see a human skull wearing an Imperial Japanese military cap on a stick. This is based on historical fact. Leading up to war with Japan and the eventual internment of Japanese Americans, a dehumanizing campaign began on the home front in response to reported war crimes in China by Japanese troops during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945) and the colonization of Korea (1910-1941).

Understanding The Terror Behind ‘The Terror: Infamy’

If you’re like me, you’re super excited for the first episode of The Terror: Infamy that will premier tomorrow night on AMC. Needless to say, I can’t contain my excitement since I really loved the first season and have looked forward to this season after hearing about it on Twitter. Before you watch the season premiere tomorrow, there are some details that you should really know if you want to understand a couple of big plot points for the show. I’ve mentioned some things in a past article about The Terror: Infamy but I’ll go a bit into detail this time so you can look like a smarty pants while watching the show and explain things to your friends or family if they say they don’t understand what’s going on. First, just like the previous season, the story was inspired by true historical events. The title of the second season “Infamy” is most likely in reference to President F.D. Roosevelt’s

Opinion: Why ‘The Terror: Infamy’ Will Be The Greatest Show This Summer

On August 12th the second season of AMC’s The Terror will premier. This season’s installment titled The Terror: Infamy will follow in the footsteps of the first season where a historical event is a backdrop for a horror story. While the flagship (no pun intended) season and series are based on the novel by Dan Simmons, the second season is original. Seeing the trailers, pictures, and tweets, I have come to the conclusion that The Terror: Infamy will be the greatest show on TV this summer. The Setting The story takes place during one of the most controversial moments during the Second World War, the imprisonment of Americans of Japanese descent. After the events of Pearl Harbor aka “the Day of Infamy”, Americans of Japanese descent were put into Internment Camps as the US government believed that individuals of Japanese ancestry would sympathize with the Imperial Japanese Government and attack America from within. It was later determined that this course

AMC’s “The Terror” Returns For Its WWII Set Second Season

AMC’s dark cannibalistic first season of “The Terror” (review) told the story of the doomed Franklin Expedition, ships frozen in the ice and a crew desperate to find a way to a better place and circumstances after facing a giant beast, hunger, violence, and mutiny. Fans were left wondering if the series would return for a second season. We can now report that the answer is yes. The series has been revealed as an anthology with its second season being a whole new subject. It also has as a new showrunner, “True Blood’s” Alexander Woo, Variety reports. Season two will tell the story of a specter that haunts the Japanese-American community during World War II in the homes of Southern California, the internment camps where many were held during the war, and in the Pacific theater. We are thrilled to announce a second season and dramatize one of the most chilling and important events of the 20th Century, guided by

‘The Terror’ May Be Back For Season 2

Fans of the show “The Terror” may be curious as to how the story will continue after the beautifully heartrending end to the fictionalized account of the lost Franklin Expedition. Well as it turns out according to an interview with TV Guide, Soo Hugh states that “The Terror” series was greenlit by AMC as an “anthology” show, meaning that every season will focus on one particular story just like “American Horror Story“, “True Detective“ etc. The show’s name was taken from the name of the novel that it’s based on which in turn was named after one of the ships, the HMS Terror. So now it may seem that the title of the series all along means that this will be a horror anthology series. I know, I know, “Tells us what the next season will be about Dan!” well that’s up in the air at the moment. All we know is that it will be a new story altogether.

‘The Terror’ Sails Into The Sunset

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! (Non-Spoilers afterward) Tonight was the season finale of the first and possibly last season of AMC’s series, The Terror. The show followed the fictionalized account of the doomed Franklin Expedition based on the novel of the same name written by Dan Simmons, where the stranded English crew must face an unknown mythical beast in the arctic wasteland as well as each other. The series follows Captain Crozier (Jared Harris) who struggles with the freezing elements along with his inner demons (alcoholism). After the death of Captain Franklin (Ciarán Hinds), Crozier is now forced to lead the remaining men while at the same time coming to terms that the ships he and his fellow officers and what remains of the crew have to leave the shelter of their stuck ships and move across land. The danger is not only the cold, starvation or even the beast itself, it’s one crew members named Cornelius Hickey (Adam Nagaitis) who right
