An Update Of The Adaptions Of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, Revival & The Stand

The new adaptions of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower and The Stand have had many ups and downs over the past two years. Now, the remake of The Stand has been put on hold and the TV series has hit a dead end. The Gunslinger film is moving forward and a third King adaption, Revival, is in the works. “Right now it’s [The Stand] just in a holding pattern trying to figure out how to best make the movie because we’ve toyed with breaking it up into multiple movies, making it into one, making it into two. Update On The New Adaption Of Stephen King’s ‘The Stand’

This will mark the second time the novel has been made into a miniseries, the first aired back in 1994. The new adaption of King’s ‘The Stand’ is set to include an eight episode miniseries on Showtime that will lead to a full length feature film. The thought behind the miniseries concept is that the series of episodes would allow for more of the story to be told, than any one film could show. Reportedly, the miniseries will be a star studded event. Director Josh Boone is aiming to cast stars who have never before been seen in a TV series. Director Josh Boone The premier date for the miniseries has yet to be announced.
