Horror Fuel’s 6 Best And Worst Games Reviewed In 2019

The year is coming to a close and officially I have no more video games to review for the year! 2019 was a roller coaster of hits and misses when it came to gaming. There have been exciting announcements that are making gamers excited for the new year like the new Half-Life VR (my prediction is next there will be a Half-Life Mobile THEN we may see Half-Life 3), there’s been hyped up games like Death Stranding that disappointed and confused many and divided Kojima fans. Then there’s our little corner here in the world. I was fortunate enough to review quite a few games this year but it’s that time I have to look back at the ones that matter, the horror ones, and see which titles I’ve reviewed that after completion I would still keep their ratings the same, and which I would probably banish to the shadow realm! Game Review: Lovecraft Floods The Streets In ‘The Sinking City’

You thought your daily commute is bad? Try being a citizen of Oakmont, their streets are flooded and things are starting to get crazy, figuratively and literally! Frogwares and Bigben Interactive were kind enough to allow me to experience their game that’s flooding with Lovecraftian horrors like the streets of Oakmont. I present to you, The Sinking City. In this third-person RPG, you take on the role of former U.S. Navy Sailor turned Private Eye Charles S. Reed. Reed came to the fictional island of Oakmont to find answers to his nightmares and visions he’s been having since the war as it appears many people on the island are experiencing the same phenomenon. Upon arriving at the island, Reed learns that the city is falling into ruin as a great flood has taken place and strange creatures are coming from the flood waters and a mysterious force is calling to those inflicted with nightmares and visions… Onto the game itself!

Gameplay Trailer For ‘The Sinking City’ Shows A Wet & Creepy World

Things are going Lovecraft for horror games it seems! Frogwares and Bigben Interactive will be taking players to the city of Oakmont in “The Sinking City”. The game takes place in the 1920’s and the city of Oakmont is, well…sinking, but that’s not the worst of it. The citizens are being tormented by supernatural forces and creatures coming from the water. You take on the role of a detective who is going through personal issues (like most detectives in these kinds of stories) and venturing into the city is not helping. “The Sinking City” is an open world game where you have to travel to different locations by boat. There are side missions along with the main quest, all of which can be completed in a multitude of ways. Seeing disturbing things will make the player loose sanity for a bit. The best part is fans of the works of Lovecraft can see many Easter eggs in relations to Lovecraft’s
