‘The Shelter’ Recieves A Worldwide Release

The critically acclaimed psychological thriller The Shelter, starring iconic actor Michael Paré (“Streets of Fire”, Eddie and the Cruiser), is now available for viewing around the world, thanks to its newfound home on Vimeo On Demand. The film, which the L.A. Times called “remarkably ambitious” and “a concise genre piece that doubles as a heavily metaphorical character sketch”, had previously been released on DVD and VOD in the United States, and was also sold in various countries around the world including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden and South East Asia. Now the rest of the world gets their chance to watch the suspense-filled film which critics loved at the London Frightfest, as well as the Sitges Film Festival. The film centers on a homeless man named Thomas (Michael Pare) who finds shelter for the night within a lavish abandoned two-story house. He eventually discovers that he is not alone and the house won’t let him

Movie Review – The Shelter Is a Cold, Dark, Introspective Journey

The Shelter Written and Directed by – John Fallon Featuring – Michael Paré, Lauren Alexandra, Amy Wickenheiser, Rachel G. Whittle This is the story of a man named Thomas, and whether it’s rock bottom or the bottom of a bottle, this man is quite familiar with the concept of being lower than low. However this wasn’t always the kind of life he knew. Once he had a loving wife, a good job, a nice home and a daughter on the way. Now he lives as an aimless, homeless wanderer, getting by on the small kindnesses that others will afford him – whether he deserves them or not. Refusing to seek refuge at a local shelter, Thomas walks around town until he comes across a house that seems to beckon to him. It would appear that whomever the house belongs to isn’t home, and fortunately for him (or is it?), a door just happens to be unlocked. He makes himself at

Interview With Stuntman, Actor, Screenwriter, Director, Producer John Fallon – A Man Who Does It All

This afternoon I had the pleasure of speaking with John Fallon of Bruise Productions. He’s the writer and director of ‘The Shelter’ as well as a stuntman, actor, producer and the founder of Arrowinthehead.com. You have probably heard of some of the other films he’s written, directed or starred in like ‘Saw II’, ‘American Muscle’, ‘100 Feet’ or ‘Dead Shadows’. Saying Fallon is a busy man is an understatement. I’m very thankful that he found the time to answer my questions. Fallon’s most recent film, ‘The Shelter‘. stars Michael Paré (Abattoir, Village of the Damned, Eddie and the Cruisers I & II), Lauren Alexandra (Looper), Gayle James (Time Eva), Rachel Whittle (Shark Island), Amy Wickenheiser (The Outsider), and Brigette Rose. In the film, Tomas Jacobs (Paré), a homeless man and widower, finds a place to rest for the night when he discovers an empty two-story house with an open door. Thinking he’s had a lucky break he enters the home,
