With its theatrical release approaching, The Shallows has fans hooked and ready to be reeled in by this shark film. Following the unveiling of a new trailer and new international poster earlier this week, a brand new TV Spot has been unleashed and it might be enough to make you never want to get in the water again. The film, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and penned by Anthony Jasinski, follows a young woman who must find a way to survive a huge hungry Great White. Blake Lively stars as Nancy, who is surfing alone on a secluded beach when she is attacked by a Great White and stranded just a short distance from shore. Though she is only 200 yards from her survival, getting there proves the ultimate contest of will. Synopsis: Nancy (Lively) is surfing alone on a secluded beach when she is attacked by a Great White and stranded just a short distance from shore. Though she is only 200 yards from her survival, getting there proves the ultimate contest of wills. The Shallows, being hailed as the Jaws of this generation, will open in theaters nationwide on June 24th.

Last week we told you that Sony Screen Gems’ thriller The Shallows, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and penned by Tony Jaswinski, had been given a new theatrical release date, June 29th. Today, we have a brand new trailer that reveals more of the story and gives us a closer look at the beast. Blake Liveley stars as Nancy, a young woman surfing in the waters off of a secluded beach. Nancy comes face-to-face with the ocean’s ultimate killing machine, a Great White that has killed her friends right in-front of her eyes. After she is attacked by the huge predator she finds refuge on an islet. The shark, still circling, is the only thing standing in her way of making it back to shore and getting help.
