The Conjuring Universe continues to expand. Annabelle Comes Home soon opening in theaters, The Conjuring 3 is in production, The Crooked Man is likely on his way, and now word has come that The Nun 2 is already in the works. Conjuring Universe producer Peter Safran teased the sequel during a recent interview with EW. “I think there is an inevitability to another Nun movie,” Safran just told EW. “We have a really fun storyline for that teed up, so I think that’s the next one that will be written.” We first met the nun, a demon called Valek, in James Wan’s The Conjuring 2 where Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) went head to head with the entity while trying to save a family plagued by supernatural activity. James Wan Teases The Plot Of The Conjuring 3

Next year Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return as Ed and Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring 3, which has been said to be very different from its predecessors. During a conversation with Bloody-Disgusting, producer James Wan gave details of the film’s plot and reinforced that the film is based on a true story. It’s not necessarily based on an artifact but it’s based on one of the Warrens’ case files,” Wan said. All the Conjuring films are based on the case files, so they’re more based on the true story aspect of the real life Warrens. I think that’s important. It’s important that the mothership stays true to the inspiration of the real people. The spinoffs are where we get to have more fun and do weird and wonderful crazy things. The mothership of it being the Conjuring films, we want it to come back to the real stuff.” It’s this guy who was on trial for committing a murder,”

Movie Review: The Nun

In The Conjuring 2, we watched as Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed (Patrick Wilson) go head to head with Valik, a dark entity who appears in the form of an evil nun. In The Nun, which arrived on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, we witness the origin story of Valik. Father Burke (Demián Bichir) is tasked by the Vatican with investigating the suicide of a nun and the dark goings-on at a remote abbey in Romania. Father Burke is assigned a companion for his journey, young Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga). Once they arrive they are taken to the abbey by the young man (Jonas Bloquet) who discovered the sister’s decaying body, still hanging by the neck. The three set out to uncover the secrets that the ancient convent holds. I was more than excited and raced right to the movie section of my local Wal-Mart to snag a copy. After waiting all day the night set in and I snuggled into
